I have no particular dog in this fight, but what I do object to is the sheer disingenuousness of the reporting. To understate such a turnout so dramatically is not merely careless - it is misleading, and it corrodes trust in the press.

So am I...  However, I no longer consider the mainstream media to be impartial or expert.

I trust what I can see with my own eyes.

 

Take the Brexit protests in 2019: aerial footage clearly shows packed streets and squares, and mainstream media reports estimated around one million participants.

 

Now look at this week’s “Unite the Kingdom” rally. The aerial footage shows a crowd of very similar visual magnitude, yet mainstream media cite only about a tenth of that number.

 

As I said before, I have no dog in this fight. I’m not invested in one side or the other. But I can recognise when something is amiss, and in this case, the reporting appears biased.

 

 

Is this more of that 'lefty' extremism and violent rhetoric I have been reading so much about from the right-wing keyboard commandos lately?

All I did was strap aircraft onto the drivers and they went off to war and I went back to the crew room to drink more tea.

 

In a real war situation we would be lucky to get 4 waves of aircraft off to fight before we ran out of pilots and aircraft and were given a rifle and ammunition.

 

The range master on our once a year  practice firings said that the best thing I could do would be to give all my ammunition away and beat the Russians to death with the rifle butt, if ever they got close enough.
