Nigel Farage: Reform UK ready to replace failing Labour

Nigel Farage has declared that Britain is “approaching a moment of truth” and warned that a general election could come much sooner than expected. The Reform UK leader said his party must be ready to govern from day one, positioning itself as the only credible alternative to Labour.

At the party’s September conference, Farage unveiled a new Preparing for Government Unit, which he has now confirmed will be headed by former Conservative MP Danny Kruger, who defected to Reform last week. Kruger will work closely with Reform’s head of policy, Zia Yusuf, to draft practical plans for implementing the party’s policies across Westminster and Whitehall.

Farage said the collapse of the Conservative Party means the Tories may no longer exist as a serious national force after next May’s elections in Scotland, Wales and London. He argued that Reform has already demonstrated its momentum, pointing to its victory in the English local elections, its lead in more than 100 consecutive national opinion polls, and strong prospects in next year’s Welsh and Scottish votes.

Reform has built its platform around law and order, tackling illegal immigration, and defending free speech — campaigns that Farage claims have struck a chord with millions frustrated by the status quo. He also acknowledged the obstacles his party faces, from entrenched parts of the civil service to hostility in the media and academia.

Nevertheless, Farage insisted that Reform UK offers the only genuine vision for Britain’s future. He urged supporters and insiders across government, the military, and the courts to contribute ideas for reforming the system.

“The Labour Government is already in meltdown,” Farage concluded. “Change cannot come soon enough.”

Key Takeaways

  • Nigel Farage says Reform UK is preparing to govern if an early election is called.

  • Former Tory MP Danny Kruger will lead the party’s new Preparing for Government Unit.

  • Farage predicts the Conservatives may collapse as a national party by next year.

Let's see how things stand when there is a general election.  The chances of an early election are zero.  Turkeys don't vote for Christmas!

Every single Reform UK MP has voted against the Employment Rights Bil.

Reform are not the party of working people.

The Government needs to makes its policies on what benefits the UK as  whole, rather than just focusing and helping the working class

Because screwing over working people since 1979 has worked wonders for the whole of the IK.

Didn’t Farage tell you Brexit would sort that out?

If Labour are for the working class why do they need to go to Foodbanks.

Aren't you a former working class person who became rich in that time frame ?

Government policies were quite good for you , since 1979

Labour is not failing. To fail they would have to be several levels better than they are. Labour is a total disgrace.

Food banks became necessary after 14 years of Tory austerity, they were never going to evaporate when Labour were elected.

I must have imagined the ridiculing of labourers /hod carriers and how you earned more money because of your superior education .

Which would show that Government policies since 1979 wouldn't have been to bad for you

Nah, you didn't

I wonder if his / her / it ( wouldn't want to misgender anyone 😀😀 ) superior education could elucidate when the Trussell trust opened its first food bank and how it managed to open 250 across a 12 year period.

Labours magical orders rights bill, won't mean much when people refuse to hire and lay people off, due to punitive taxation.

Which is already happening.

I’m not sure any of that is entirely healthy Nick.

Have you thought of taking up a more normal hobby?

A twelve year period, which obviously didn’t commence at the time of the last election.

We pay more than anyone in Europe for Energy under Labour, another lie when he won the Election " My labour will give everyone an Extra £300 onto your heating and gas use " Ist thing he did cut winter fuel payments forcing pensioners to use blankets when they got cold because they either bought food or pus gas in there meter. Bills are even higher now he has took over.

Probably because it costs jobs, employers just move jobs abroad = no tax revenue or growth
