A migrant in the UK has received a 16-week jail sentence for multiple assaults at The Bell Hotel, an asylum accommodation in Epping, Essex. Mohammed Sharwarq, 32, attacked a cleaner, a head chef, and two residents on 12 August. His barrister cited a mental breakdown, and Sharwarq has expressed a desire to return to Syria.

Sharwarq, who travelled to the UK by small boat, was sentenced at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court after admitting the assaults. The prosecution dropped a sexual assault charge at the start of the hearing. The court heard from Terence Newman, who described Sharwarq's unprovoked attacks, including punching a fellow migrant and threatening a chef with a chair.

The background of these incidents includes previous aggressive behaviour by Sharwarq, who was already on bail for an alleged affray at another asylum centre. Paul Baker, defending, linked Sharwarq's actions to the trauma he endured fleeing Syria in 2011. Having initially found refuge in Turkey and Germany, Sharwarq's residency in Germany was later revoked due to unspecified reasons.

The case also highlighted The Bell Hotel's troubled history, including an unrelated case where another resident was jailed for sexual offences. After his arrest, Sharwarq expressed a strong wish to return to Syria, despite the ongoing conflict there.

Looking ahead, Sharwarq's sentence includes compensation payments totalling 700 Thai baht for three victims. His future remains uncertain as he confronts imprisonment and the possibility of deportation.

The case underscores ongoing challenges in asylum accommodation and management.

Key Takeaways

  • Mohammed Sharwarq sentenced to 16 weeks for multiple assaults.
  • Defence linked his behaviour to trauma from fleeing Syria.
  • Sentenced to pay 700 Thai baht in compensation to victims.

The main aim of Labour is to suppress all figures of migrant offenders, and any that end up in court get next to no sentence if any and no deportation order, it's a ticking time bomb topped off with a report of an operational Taliban cell living in south London on GB News today ..you know it's coming but Keir is an Ostrich 🤔

Giving a jail sentence to the illegals is a god sent gesture as they can stay on longer, get all the wokes to come over and making a public uproar to allow them to stay on.

The illegals are absolutely not at fault. They are just innocent victims who have paid hefty sums to all the criminal mafia run human traffickers who assist them to enter in Schengen European territory, in order to cross the Channel to the UK. No point in harming a illegal migrant who is just trying to make a living.

It's all the regular governance bodies in charge in the UK and mainly in the European Union at Bruxelles who are destroying Europe and are 100% at fault and to blame.

ABH with a broken bottle gets you a suspended sentence.

Hurty words on the internet, gets you 3 years.

Must be a joke in there somewhere, I'm just not seeing, or getting it.

That is why the stunned goldfish that is Starmer, expended the energy to set up his shambles of a one out - one in policy with France.

Because in every 20,000 arrivals, one is a fake asylum seeker.

Now give the keyboard back to the responsible adult.

Just like the Afghan Asylum seeker that went back to Afghan for a holiday

However, he went on to post videos and photos on social media from Afghanistan over eight weeks last summer.

If you stay in the Kindergarten? Or go back to Mummy?

Only 16 weeks?  Is this a joke?

" Having initially found refuge in Turkey and Germany, Sharwarq's residency in Germany was later revoked due to unspecified reasons.".............So he was kicked out??

So a serial criminal was given 16 weeks, for multiple assaults.

So again 2 tier judiciary, he should of been deported for the previous affray!

This proves once again the UK is a laughing stock.

Great.

Another job for a human rights lawyer when he fights deportation.

All paid for by the British taxpayer.

No wonder taxes are going up.

Look at that smug, self satisfied grin. Makes you wanna puke.

What we actually have is one of those BREXIT Benefits.

The UK lost access to the EU’s Eurodac database as a direct consequence of BREXIT.

Not at all, for a common assault charge.

I doubt it. This one was hidden until he was actually sentenced.

Another epic fail on your part.

People granted asylum will no longer be given “the golden ticket” of resettlement and family reunion rights, Keir Starmer said, amid deepening concerns from charities that his words are demonising refugees.

There are people who are ‘asylum shopping’ across the continent, looking for the country that offers them the most,” the source said.

In advance of the European Political Community (EPC) summit on Thursday, where leaders will discuss how to tackle illegal migration, Starmer said:

One might reasonably think that he would be engaging with the British Political Community in how best to tackle Illegal Immigration as his £200 million + Border Command seems to be useless.

1900 in 4 days is testament to how useless it is.
