Yes, Hamas is a militant group, but it's also an idea that thrives on the very despair, destruction, and resentment caused by large-scale military actions of which the US, in my opinion, has no reason to be in. Did you happen to notice means of transportation for Hamas during the Oct 7th attack?  It was hang gliders and pickup trucks... the retaliation was high-end jet fighters. How do you think the Muslim world viewed this?
