In need of a good vehicle A/C shop

Featured Replies

I have a 2009 Ford Focus Diesel that needs an aftermarket, total A/C system installed. There are zero OEM parts for this vehicle, as confirmed by Ford dealer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, a big THANKS in advance, cheers !!!

My friend had his old Benz aircon compressor sorted out by this shop. Might be worth a check.

Another option to go ask the ford guy if he would have solution for your issue.

Also, there are few thai  ford focus groups in Facebook, if you join and post your issue there I'm sure you will get a pointer. Dismantlers also listing their parts in those groups, this is one such where I got aircon control unit

Good luck

I tried a few air con places without success for smaller problems. This place replaced the system (non genuine) at prices I was satisfied with. 2007 Honda City.

Firstly, the 2009 Ford Focus model was available with air conditioning so when the dealer says there are no OEM parts one has to wonder if he's just not trying hard enough...

Secondly, if I understand your request correctly, you wish to fit air conditioning to your vehicle and your vehicle was not supplied with air conditioning from the factory.  The difficulty lies in the fact that even if you wanted to build a system from scratch, the engine would need to have the correct bracketry and pulley for the compressor to be fitted, and the firewall would need a hole cut to run the refrigerant pipes into the cabin for the evaporator. This would be a large undertaking with a risk of not working properly.

I would:

a) consult a different Ford dealer, preferably using a native Thai speaker
b) accept that it is probably easier overall to replace the car with one that has air conditioning factory-fitted.

Keep us posted on your quest.  Good luck.

All spare parts that are needed to replace  any defected item on a Ford Focus air con system are available on either Lazada or Shopee.

Go to any independent AC repair place to get them fitted, ignore Ford answer.

I replaced my condenser and compressor  on my old car a year or so ago.
