Now Rosé has a pretty good, raspy 'in tune' voice. ( 'in tune' being a serious challenge for locals here)

Lisa whilst of course being stunnigly attractive and a seemingly nice persona isn't that great as a singer - she has a huge team around her who max out what she has got but without elaborate shows around her she wouldn't be that much. Her role in White Lotus was pretty lacklustre and minor and frankly ludicrous that a woman of her pose and beauty would want to have a relationship with the security guard. But if I said that to the missus she would seriously get really angry so I wouldn't dare. It's a Thai thing they don't have huge amount to crow about that are internationally known so Lisa has to do a lot of heavy lifting. And no she is the only tHai in the group. Rose is Australian Korean and the other 2 I think are both Korean. 

I only hope TAT did not spend all their 2026 budget on this "tourist attraction" called Lisa. She is actually a Korean singer, a part of K-POP culture (not a Thai culture). I am afraid she will attract more people to Korea instead of Thailand and TAT will pay for it.

Lisa is Thai (born in Buriram) not Korean.

But she is known worldwide as a K(orean)-pop artist, not as a girl from Buriram. She is a Korean singer (she mainly sings in Korean and English) who became famous as a part of Korean music band Blackpink.

We can never forgive Lisa for her bastardized "Moonlit Floor" song elevated the French, of all people, as some sort of sex symbols, thus dramatically raising the stock of Frenchmen everywhere in Thailand, at the expense of Brits, Germans, Swedes, Norwegians, Spaniards, Italians, and of course Americans.

 

What Thai girl does not want to boast with her "French guy who's got her trippin'" now? And we, non-French, are chopped liver now, as we don't have Lisa's endorsement.

 

And everyone knows us Nordic types are better looking than the French who, to a man, look like cartoons. Alain Delon was an outlier. He doesn't count.

 

All because Lisa is banging that LVM billionaire Frederic Arnault. Who btw, looks like a cross between a vulture and a giraffe. It's his bank account that's got her trippin', as we all know.

Yes, they are a Korean band and she is the only Thai.

Went to another one of those travel fairs last Sunday at Sirikit centre, named DNA Travel and Fair. As usual it was about 85% food and a few advertising hotels and river trips. Not as impressive as the last one we went to at Impact, but that was the same food food food. Only went to see the concert- Lamyai and Morlam. These promotions must cost millions and achieve very little. No idea what the DNA meant, soft power ? 😁

Rubbish...LLoud is her own Company. Not incorporated in Korea.  Also all 4 Blackpink girls have gone their own ways and done their own thing for 2 years...Contracted back to YG for this current Deadline Tour only.

I didn't criticise her, I just highlighted Thailands loss, who should have had the foresight to train her and reap the rewards.

Now they just use cheap marketing tactics after her global success

I understand why TAT is using Lisa for promoting the country, but I’m not so sure how well known she is in other countries other than Japan, Korea and Thailand and whether that’ll have any influence on tourism directly. Maybe if they made clones of her and put them in bars in, Bonkcok, Bhuket and Pottaya it would have more success.
