Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has announced that the nation is making a resounding return to the global stage, following successful participation in major summits. After attending the 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur and the 32nd Apec Summit in Gyeongju, Anutin declared Thailand is back on the world's radar. His emphasis was on broadening market access and promoting Thailand's unique qualities.

Attending these international gatherings aimed to open up new opportunities for Thailand by showcasing the country’s economy and culture. Anutin stressed the importance of selling Thai goods, including agricultural products, and promoting tourism. The PM also sought to increase opportunities for Thai workers abroad, receiving positive responses from international leaders.

The next step involves forming a working team to pursue foreign investment and tourism opportunities for Thailand. Anutin highlighted the aspiration of positioning Thailand as a global food and digital hub. He underlined the importance of these moves for enhancing the country's status on the international stage.

On security matters, Anutin reinforced Thailand’s commitment to being a leader in fighting transnational crime. This stance was well received by nations such as China, the US, South Korea, and Australia, who expressed interest in cooperation on this front. The positive reception from these key international players represents an important milestone, reported Bangkok Post.

Looking forward, the government's immediate priority is to implement the proposals discussed at the summits to capitalise on the momentum. A focus will be on translating summit agreements into actionable outcomes that attract international partnerships, investments, and tourism to Thailand.

Key Takeaways

  • Thailand aims to be a global hub for food and digital industries.
  • Discussions at summits focused on tourism, trade, and transnational crime.
  • Positive responses from numerous countries signal potential future collaboration.

For all the wrong reasons... even digital nomads are bailing out for greener pastures.

Bit of a self pat on the back, but really, all he did is what all leaders are expected to do, he did nothing special... Didn't even get the close to Trump seating position he wanted..

Yeh but only when that nation tells them they have a criminal on the run...:coffee1:

Not so easy, Mr PM

Nothing like praising yourself just a little bit (if nobody else does).

As gentle as a LAM. Look at Me. (wife giggling)....Pinocchio shaking his fist....Thoxin scratching #'s on a wall.🙃🙃

What is it with Thai elites grandstanding statements. F1, Casino etc while the average Thai is left behind. Just because a handful of people can relate to it? When will the average Thai put the phone down and demand fixing basic stuff.
