And cheaper! I'm paying $300 more since covid to fly Thai from Perth

This is my point in general. From BKK (or DMK) to almost anywhere in this region (inc Australia), there is quite a bit of competition now and THAI hasn't kept up with the customer satisfaction on regional flights - and can't even seem to properly clean many of the aircraft before or during the flights. I think it will be worth the extra connection in some cases to fly with SQ and CX instead. Also Emirates seems to have some cabotage flights from BKK to Vietnam I think. Might be other big carriers that use BKK as a stop-over too, meaning they are also available for non-stop shorter flights within the region.

  • Thai fare pricing is really off… I take regular flights across Asia pacific and Thai flight tickets are sometimes more than 20 percent more than its competitors in the same sector… crazy…  then t

  • Who still flies with Thai Airways ? Far to costly compared to other airlines.

  • I always flew Thai to Australia...no longer! Other airlines off a better service today.

I live in the North of England if I want to fly with Thai Airways its a 2-3 hour train journey with a hefty ticket price for a return ticket to london. Once you negotiate the Tube with your case. Wht don't Thai look at flying from Manchester.

Because there is simply not enough demand for flying directly between Manchester and Bangkok, not even close to justifying a direct flight.

The Middle Eastern carriers can offer it as probably 70% or more of the Manchester people transfer to elsewhere, not Bangkok. Why would you even consider getting a train to London then schlepping to Heathrow with all that time and cost when you can go from Manchester with Emirates, Etihad, or Qatar and just have a 1-2 hour stop on the way?

The last couple of times I've flown from Manchester on Emirates, the first leg is full of Mancs, the second leg is a completely different clientele.

Easier to get a 60 to 90 minute flight from MAN to Frankfurt or Munich then get Thai non-stop to BKK. They code share with Lufthansa and other Star Alliance partners out of other European airports.

"...64.6% decline in Q3 net profit from the previous year"

NO surprise ...in fact i was hoping to hear this because there tickets are a rip-off now!

the last 3 years my LHR BKK 1 year open return ticket was around £780...i always book early AND this summer there was never any deals going, tickets are around £1000 sometimes £997 lol!

have booked on a Chinese airline 1-way (2 hr transit) for £305 which has better reviews that TG!:coffee1:

Its the same aircraft and the food looks even better than TG, which has gone down hill, just absolute rubbish!

...looking forward to my CZ flight next week:cool:

BTW, Just checked on TG site and the 1 year open return ticket for any day next week is now...DRUM ROLL....DRUM ROLL...

....£1,265! :bah:

Rekon, my sons wedding last year, I   flew to PER last November, business class, he paid $1800 one way🤩

Going with Middle Eatern Airlines is cheap enough exept Emmirates but the lenghty stop overs specially on the return leg has its issues if you dont mind hanging around for 5 and upwards hours between flights.
