A shooting incident occurred in a bar in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, following a dispute over a videoke song. The confrontation happened on Sunday, November 30, after the suspect's group allegedly got upset when the victim interrupted their turn to sing. The police report indicates that a waitress witnessed the event.

Both groups were reportedly drinking when tempers flared due to the videoke queue. The suspect approached the victim and, in a moment of anger, drew a gun and fired at the victim's face. The victim was quickly taken to Davao Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities recovered a .45 caliber cartridge case from the crime scene. The investigation is ongoing to identify the suspect, who is currently in hiding. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Looking to the future, local experts suggest tightening security in bars and implementing strict regulations on videoke sessions to prevent similar incidents. Authorities might also increase patrols in entertainment areas to ensure public safety. Meanwhile, the community is encouraged to practice restraint in conflicts, reported Balita.
