Voting in the TN Special Election.

There is compelling statistical evidence indicating significant fraudulent activity by Republicans in this week’s special election.

Analysis of Montgomery County precincts reveals statistically abnormal patterns consistent with known indicators of turnout inflation and potential vote manipulation. The strong correlation at the precinct level between turnout and the Republican candidate’s vote share mirrors patterns documented in other states under investigation, including Pennsylvania and Florida (2024). The estimated impact could exceed the margin of victory in the county. If similar anomalies are present across the district, it is possible that they reached a level sufficient to affect the race’s outcome.

Political pundits agree that congratulations are in order for the Republicans who plotted Epps suspect victory in the special election. Due to the Republicans' cunning manipulation, their candidate actually exceeded President Trump's margins in this district in the 2024 election by -13%. Republican strategists now think there is a good chance that the margin of victory for the popular vote in the 2026 midterms will come somewhat close to President Trump's  49.8% landslide win in 2024. Republicans across the country were openly celebrating the margin of victory in this special election.

GOP frets ‘dangerous’ result in Tennessee

Republicans won Tuesday’s special election in Tennessee. But instead of celebrating, many are dreading what it means about the midterms.

Republican Rep.-elect Matt Van Epps’ roughly nine point win marks a massive shift toward Democrats from 2024, when President Donald Trump carried the district by 22 points. That double digit swing — on the heels of crushing losses in off-year elections in November — could be a harbinger of what House Republicans will face in the midterms next year, members and strategists warned, as they seek to hold on to their narrow control of the chamber.

Tennessee special election outcome puts GOP on notice

Republicans sounded the alarm at the outcome of Tuesday’s Tennessee special election in which Democratic candidate Aftyn Behn significantly overperformed in reliably Republican territory.

Republican Matt Van Epps defeated Behn by roughly 9 points, a far narrower margin than the 22 points President Trump carried the district by last year. The unexpectedly competitive race underscores potential vulnerabilities for Republicans as they seek to fend off a potential blue wave in the 2026 midterms and protect their razor-thin majority.

That concern was evident on Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) told reporters that Republicans “better wake up.”
