I recently attended the Surin elephant festival in Isan.

I made a video about the elephant feast specifically.

I couldn't tolerate going to the stadium to see the circus act with the elephants.

Let me know what you think

Great vid especially the loud elephant and the peoples reaction.

Thanks...I'd like to attend this sometime.

A great informative video will definately be attending this festival in the near future. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting.

Beautiful video but I was saddened to see the elephant been used as tools for money

They should be released into the wild to live their days

great video. nice job.

Very sad for the elephants involved. The cruel treatment of elephants in Thailand is a national disgrace.

they are tame and domesticated so would not survive for long.

I doubt they are complaining ,as historically they have been used for hard labour  and  even  on the battle field.

Rode an elephant at the festival in 2013.

Never again!!

Basic bamboo platform to sit on and try to balance with nothing to hold onto. Just rope around the elephants belly holding the platform on. At that stage I was 120kg and the wife 50 so trying to stop the platform sliding sideways was a challenge.

Was not feeling safe at all !!

On the day of the feast I think the elephants disagree with you. They are gorging out on all that fruit. But afterwards I probably agree with you.

i wouldn't worry too much, elephants are more than capable of making their dissatisfaction known, Woe betide those who upset them
