Cars that drive slow in the right lane drive me nuts

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Yesterday I was driving in Isan on a newly paved 2 lane highway. Slow driver in the left lane. Slow driver in the right late driving next to each other basically. I was behind in the right lane waiting patiently and nothing happening. The driver in the right would not move faster out of the way. So I flashed him a few times. Nothing. Flashed again and then he put is brakes on. This dead brain driver thinks he owns the road. I was a bit pissed by this stage. Flashed again and he moved over slowly.

It made me really angry and I drove on past. He was basically holding up all the traffic behind and unsure why he was playing this game.

In this situation do you flash the lights the same as me or what do you do.

I find it a windup driving on the roads here. Or maybe I have anger issues?

He’s letting you know that you really need to lighten up on the road.

Funny thing is that is exactly what he thought about you.

A lot of accidents occur when this type of psychosis crops up.

Yeah, he was probably afraid that you were going lose it and go berserk and start breaking things on the road.

No. Just take it easy.

Yes, most definitely.

Folks such as the above poster really shouldn’t be allowed to drive here, or anywhere for that matter.

I just did a video about dangerous drivers on Thai Roads. I address this issue.  Channel name 'The life of a durian man'

Speaking of daft, try reading the daft op. Speaking of meds, be sure to pop a few before driving or just stay off the road, you’re a rolling hazard on the road.

Driving car in Thailand is a test, a test of my patience, #$#$% stupid f imbeciles who all bought their license and got it delivered in the mail if any at all.

Best advise I heard in a long time, but unfortunately a long line will build up and other drivers will start zig zag from one line to other, and start doing hazardous maneuvers 😄

Richard barrows reminder about how dangerous the traffic is in Thailand

Spain and UAE managed to improve dramatically the last two three centuries, so there is hope if there is will.

Well of course that’s how you perceive it as depicted in your op. Having hissy fits while driving on the roads here is the epitome of utter stupidity and lack of self control. Maybe walking or riding a bicycle would suit you better until you’re capable of controlling yourself.

And truth is, Im sure some here also bought their driving license in Thailand by using agent, and never showed up to any office to prove they understand how to drive safely in Thailand. Members who never ever did drive a bigger motorbike than a small moped buys their first big bike here.

Classic case of road rage and too much of it in Thailand with the locals and even worse when the falangs add to the mess that are not accustomed to how things are here.

Perhaps you need to learn the Pit maneuver 😋

jai yen yen😇

I set my cruise control at 101 in the 120 kph lane, just to practice my lip reading skills  :coffee1:

so what do you do when a halfwit in the right lane blocks the cars going 80km/h in a 100 zone. what do you do?

Get a Ford Raptor with extra lights is the solution 😉

Og course some provoking colours and stripes helps showing dominance.

What you are supposed to do is to lighten up and take it easy…

…as opposed to having a mental breakdown in a fit of psychosis.

Undertake or slow down and chill out.

You are a road rager so there is little that can be done about that at least until you figure it out on your own or until you find your self in an unfortunate learning experience during one of your episodes.

you are probably right. I am hot headed. What would you have done if a slow car in right lane is driving beside the slow car in the left lane- basically blocking the traffic behind at 80 in a 100 zone. what would you do?

This morning, right hand lane on the 7 motorway driving to work at 5am.

I was approx 3 car lengths behind a pickup doing 120km/h.

All of a sudden the pickup swerved left, I was greated by a highway patrol car crawling with no lights on.... not sure how A: I missed him and B: did not roll my car swerving to avoid.

I have a pair of 9" spotlights on the front and a pair of triple air horns behind each side of the bumper.

All get used... often.

I hate, with a passion people who drive slow in the RH lane.

Im glad to hear that someone else will be assertive like me. What I worry about is 1 person in a million is unhinged and might carry a firearm. Sometimes here about bullets being shot. It is possible here.

Similar thing happened to me a few years back. Not a police car, a farm truck and I was a split second away from a serious collision. It was very scary.

Since then I allow a bit more distance between me and the car in front - but it is bloody annoying when other drivers fill that gap and I have to drop back.

Of course, you are driving to work, so you have a deadline to meet, whereas I am retired and can take my time. Nobody cares if I'm 30 minutes late.
