Thai Driving Licence

Featured Replies

I have a supposedly five year Thai Driving Licence but it actually expires after four and a half years and, curiously, on my 72nd Birthday. I wonder why?

I expect because expiration is based on birthday as seems to be normal in the US. My only Thai license is the old lifetime version so don't have current knowledge.

The first driving licence you get is for one year from the issue date.

The second one always exipres exires on your birthday on the fifth year after issue date.

So mine is for five and a half year. :o

Thanks a lot for that. Most helpful!
