A Thai mother has issued a warning on social media after a housemaid allegedly poured disinfectant into her young son's milk bottle. The unsettling incident took place on December 26, in Thailand, when the family employed a temporary maid, identified as Usanee Palang-usa, for a day while their regular housekeeper was off. The child's grandmother noticed a strong chemical scent from the milk, leading to urgent medical attention for the boy, who fortunately remained stable.

The family had hired Usanee through a Facebook group, but she was instructed to focus solely on cleaning duties, as their permanent maid was tasked with child care. Later in the afternoon, the grandmother discovered the milk's abnormal smell and taste, prompting immediate concern. The mother quickly took her son to the hospital and her father questioned Usanee, who initially denied any wrongdoing but fled the scene shortly after.

Subsequent to the hospital visit, the mother reviewed home security footage, which purportedly showed Usanee carrying the child's bottle from the third to the ground floor and pouring Dettol into it. The evidence also suggested Usanee neglected her cleaning duties and instead was seen photographing home belongings, indicating ulterior motives.

The social media post also prompted another victim to report a similar encounter with Usanee, who allegedly attempted a burglary at her home. Legal action is being pursued as the mother has sent the tainted milk for laboratory verification to substantiate claims against Usanee, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • A temporary maid is accused of contaminating a child's bottle with Dettol.
  • Home security footage reportedly captured incriminating actions by the maid.
  • Another victim reported attempted theft by the same maid.
