Because China did not do anything to help Venezuela against US aggression.

I think I'm a little confused could you please explain to us the nature of Venezuela's aggression against the US? Was there an invasion of Florida that I didn't hear about, did they bombed Doral, did they bomb one of Trump's golf courses or was it the shipments of drugs to the EU that you are referring to?

Or are we simply witnessing more hyperbole?

There is no question that the re-election of Trump is a wet dream for both Putin, Xi, and all despots around the world. Having somebody so fabulously incompetent, so spectacularly ignorant, and so una

Really? Is the plan is to impoverish those South American nations who depend so much on exports to China. Will the US be imposing some kind of blockade? Will it be bombing boats smuggling soy beans?

If you think that the US has the right to damage other countries trade relations with China against their will, the US will have a major problem.

China better watch its piehole talkin that crapola.

The USA can and will bring Apple manufacturing, as just one example, back to Cali where it belongs.

I di? I offered no speculation or assertion about your motivations or anything else about you personally.

Try to keep in mind what the moderators keep on repeating to apparently no avail: stick to the issues.

There are a lot of forum members here that are so blind in their allegiance to the fake master that they don't see the difference between insulting Trump and insulting them personally. It's always personal for them, yet some of us go out of our way not to insult fellow forum members, and not to insult Trump supporters but rather to just keep the insults to the corrupt, toxic, ridiculous politicians and cabinet members themselves.

They also rig elections and install people pliable to their methods. I'm not just referring to Venezuela.

Painting them as the 'good guys' is purely disingenuous, otherwise you simply have no idea of the reality on the ground.

Not painting them as good guys, but acknowledging the overall positive impact of their activity for the past generation.

Please educate me, in the past 25 years, when has the USA rigged elections or installed people pliable to their methods? I am unaware of the wide scale interference that you claim. The US did not interfere with the Nicaragua election that saw a return of the Sandanistas, or the electoral removal of the (IMO idiot) Bolsonaro and replacement of the non US friend Lula da Silva. Nor did the US did not interfere in the elections of Columbia or Chile that saw the election of governments unfriendly to the USA. The USA is allowed to pursue a foreign policy that it sees as in its best interest, just as Bolivia is allowed to pursue a foreign policy that is in its own best interest.

I quite agree Trump has now given China the green light to take Taiwan.

What he has done in Venezuela is no different to what Putin has done in Ukraine.

Everything Trump does is about him either stoking his ego or making him richer.

He is rapidly becoming the greatest threat to world peace in my lifetime who is going to be next Canada, Greenland, Mexico, Panama is there nobody able to stop this madman.

He has turned most of the world against America because of his stupid tariffs and threatening the likes of Canada and Greenland making other countries realise America cant be trusted.

These countries have turned away from America and have now established new supply chains and alliances and will not return to America even when Trump is replaced.

let's see how Trump deals with it as China has very high stakes in Venezuela running the rare earth metals mines to buying their cheap oil as well, Chinese don't bend and I know it very well as I lived & worked there for 14 years

Yes, Trump has definitely sent a signal to China, and Russia. Though you got the colors wrong. The green light is directed towards the people of Iran and the red light goes to china, and Russia.

There is no evidence of US rigging the election in Guyana. It is a corrupt and violent nation. Although Azruddin Mohamed, whose WIN party won 16 of the 65 parliamentary seats in general elections last on Sept. 1, is a fugitive from justice. He is subject to a US extradition request for financial crimes.

https://guyanachronicle.com/2026/01/04/mohameds-not-above-the-law-ag-says/. Blaming the USA for this man's legal problems is. unreasonable. The man and his father have been carrying on as if he they are above the law.

Bit of a farce coming from a dictatorship that skirts international sanctions on Russia and that is currently bullying Taiwan and denying civil rights to Hong Kong residents.

Here is an interesting number. The Venezuelan economy contracted by 80% since 2013.

Got socialism?

One of us knows what he is talking about. The other is full of hot air. I didn't state WHICH election. If we are discussing oil, why are you referring to 2025? Once again, do try to keep up.

The CCP is awful in a lot of ways. It certainly is subsidizing its manufacturing sector through depressing the price of its currency and keeping interest rates low. On the other hand China is supplying the developing world with cheap solar panels that are allowing people in developing nations to have access to cheap electric power.

And what plan does the US have to counter the Chinese that won't massively damage the economies of South American nations? China is their largest trading partner.

China invests in companies in other countries (south American, Africa, etc. ) in various sectors.

When loans cant be paid back Chinese companies take over control. This is China's plan.

You've got that the wrong way round from what it seems you meant to say? In which case I don't agree with you.

It's not just China. There's a lot of that going on. Conquering by buying up economically powerful assets and even essential resources ( the idiocy of water, transport, property and energy sold off in UK anyone?) is a very effective method to get control of a country without a shot being fired.

What are you on? You are now writing in circles that apparently only you can understand for your imagined conspiracy plots. You claimed that the US interfered in the Guyana election. Now you say that you didn't state which one. That's absurd. If you are going to assert that the US interfered in the past 25 years, then specify the election. The US has been a strong supporter of Guyana's democratic institutions since the early 2000's and this has been done in conjunction with the British Commonwealth.

I don't think it was the socialism per se that caused those problems. It was the corruption, the bullying, the harassment and the stifling of democratic institutions by a despotic totalitarian group of ignorant bullies that drove the skilled classes out of the country. Once the people who did the work and generated much of the wealth left, it was inevitable that the country's economic system would suffer.

You got it somewhat wrong. Chinese, through its belt and road initiative lends countries money for major infrastructure projects. Often these projects are corrupt boondoggles like the case of a major airport built in Sri Lanka. India had refused to finance it because it made no economic sense. China stepped in and when the project failed, as compensation took a huge chunk of land on the sea to build facilities.

That said, what do you expect the US to do about that?

The one that took place during the previous Trump administration. I'm on intelligence. What are you on? Reading off a script? Don't waste my time if you don't know and are just going to babble. We were discussing oil, so which did you imagine we were discussing? Does everything need to be spelled out for you?

You must be living on another planet where good people and countries provide loans without collaterals. If you default on your mortgage payments the bank repossesses your home.
