Making Venezuela Great Again!

Kidnapping is a Federal crime in the US carrying a mandatory life sentence. The wrong person is in the dock.

But with a Trump-appointed judge, any man as ‘innocent’ as any other politician could call themselves will spend years defending himself. If it weren’t so tragic, it would be fun to see what kinds of joke charges the US will come up with.

In a statement on X, Bondi said Maduro and his spouse had been indicted in the Southern District of New York and charged with “narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of machineguns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machineguns and destructive devices against the United States.” I’m sure more charges will be Trumped up.

There were ~630,000 machine guns in the US in 2017.

And by what nefarious intelligence or perfidy did the US know precisely where to find Maduro? And why did they kidnap his wife?!? I hope she seeks redress & compensation in the US courts. And who got the $50 million bounty on Maduro?

This is certainly not the first time the US has kidnapped or murdered foreign leaders, many of whom were elected by their citizens, some by hook and some by crook.

The US has been destabilising regions, manipulating regime change, arranging voter fraud , putting US puppets in power and much more throughout the 20th-century.

The US successfully forced regime change on Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Chile by coups d’etat. US coups failed in Cuba and Nicaragua.

Remember Ollie North? The US shipped cocaine from Central America to the US, the same crime with which Maduro has been charged.

With that coke—the pause that refreshes—crack was developed, enslaving millions of black ghetto Americans and their families, right to the present day.

All so US oil companies could ‘manage’—read, steal—Venezuela’s oil while the US takes over its government. I’m Canadian—is our oil next???

“The initial pretext was that Venezuela was an exporting “narco-terrorist” state. The knowingly fraudulent story did not merit even laughter by US intelligence agencies and the DEA. In the DEA’s most recent report, Venezuela is mentioned in only a single paragraph. In fact, Venezuela did not merit even a single mention in the one-hundred pages long 2025 UN World Drug Report, just like the EU’s own annual drug assessment report.” but the real reason is here:

“The actual reason is explained openly by the aggressors themselves. In Trump’s own words: “When I left, Venezuela was ready to collapse. We would have taken it over. We would have gotten all that oil. It would have been right next door.” More recently, perhaps tired of the “narco-terrorism” script, Trump conceded that he wants “the oil and land rights.”

“Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar boasted that “Venezuela, for the American oil companies, will be a field day, because it will be more than a trillion dollars in economic activity.” — both quotes from Venezuela Analysis

What troubles me most about this obviously illegal invasion is that the American military agreed to this. Were the commanders and fliers and soldiers so thoroughly brainwashed that orders are orders, don’t think, don’t feel your conscience beating in your chest?

Or are they just fighting for that pension at the end because there will be no jobs left in America?

It’s the US that deserves Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions.

How many innocent civilians and innocent soldiers, for that matter, were killed and injured in this travesty? Who get to call them terrorists? What did they ever do to the US?

If we are witnessing the beginning of another debácle like the war on Vietnam, Putin will be cackling while he moves to take over Europe while the US is distracted by homegrown Venezuelan resistance. Think they’re just going to roll over? Think again!

The analysis here by Venezuelan news outlet teleSUR is comprehensive and noteworthy.

Trump surely did not devise this evil plan on his own. Who are the men behind the curtain putting his autopen to work and cranking out the vicious tweets?

Or was this a reward for the Venezuelan woman who dedicated her ‘peace’ prize to Trump? Maybe now she gets to go home a free woman.

Don’t need no courts, don’t need no Congress is the very definition of…dictatorship. Trump is a war criminal whom México says has violated its UN Charter.

Don’t bother to read most US news about the invasion. teleSUR (Venezuela), Venezuelanalysis, El Pais (Spain) seem to be good sources.

Exactly. And as Pete Hegseth stated, "President Trump has shown American leadership, and he’ll be able to dictate where we go next."
That can be sourced from Washington Examiner, NBC News, and BBC News reports.

That's the definition of "dictator." President Trump, the dictator, will be able to dictate where we go next. Columbia? Nicaragua? Cuba? Peru? Iran? Greenland? Canada?

possession of machineguns

By what highly imaginative stretch of Federal jurisdiction is it illegal, under US Federal Law, for a foreign citizen, resident in a foreign country, to possess machine guns? How on earth do they intend to prove that any such machine guns were his personal possessions?

Why did the Trump administration choose New York to hold and try him? It couldn't be to embarrass the newly installed Mayor now could it?

As show trials go, it is going to be an absolute bramah (British slang for a classic cock up)!

Okay, so they were right about money laundering...

I'm not so sure. I don't think the venue is because of a socialist win in New York. The Southern District is the tightest court for high-profile trials, e.g., Noreiga, El Chapo, Viktor Bout aso. The typical sentence is 35-40 years.

As they're justly famous for, the US will lay enough charges on a mountain of paper that it will be a year, at least, before trial. The US is claiming money laundering, too, but says it has 'recovered assets' not cash. Wonder what $700M in 'assets' looks like!

Whatever you do, driver, don't engage reverse!

If the threat is such that you need to be in an armoured vehicle, it is probably not a good idea to have 2/3 of your body protruding out of the top, nor to have your head against a white screen!

That's a lot of Rolex watches !

Maybe Maduro borrowed them from our General of the Watch! It'll be interesting to see the US' list of assets.

And then Trump will sell him a pardon in return for the oil rights.

The assets were already listed by Attorney General Pam Bondi in an Aug. 25, 2025 interview with Fox News.

She said the $700 million in assets included two multi-million-dollar jets, multiple homes, a mansion in the Dominican Republic, multiple multi-million-dollar homes in Florida, a horse farm, nine cars and millions of dollars in jewelry and cash.
