Zelensky Still Awaits Clear Security Promises Amid Tensions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that he lacks solid security reassurances from European allies to protect Ukraine against potential Russian aggression. Despite recent declarations by the UK and France regarding troop deployments, Zelensky remains uncertain about firm guarantees. "I have not received a clear, unambiguous answer yet," Zelensky stated on Wednesday.

This uncertainty follows an agreement between the UK and France to possibly station troops in Ukraine if a peace deal with Russia materialises. However, these pledges stopped short of full security guarantees, with the US reportedly abstaining from signing. The Paris talks, involving around 30 countries from the "Coalition of the Willing," saw UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron suggest establishing military hubs in Ukraine.

The allies envisage the US overseeing any truce, though territorial concessions that Ukraine might need to provide remain contentious. Russian President Vladimir Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, initiated in February 2022, has led to Moscow controlling approximately 20% of Ukrainian land. Meanwhile, Sir Keir highlighted the joint UK-French statement as a crucial commitment to Ukraine’s future, while Zelensky initially regarded it as progress, though he later expressed lingering doubts about the clarity of security commitments.

Despite the optimism over potential diplomatic advancements, Zelensky stresses the importance of concrete, legally binding agreements supported by both parliaments and the US Congress. Without these, Ukraine cannot rely wholly on external support, he suggests.

The talks in Paris also featured peace envoys for US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. They reported substantial progress on security protocols. Nonetheless, unresolved issues persist, with territorial concessions and security guarantees at the forefront.

Russia, controlling large parts of Donbas, demands Ukrainian troop withdrawal from these areas, maintaining pressure through intensifying attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. As the situation unfolds, both sides remain firm on territorial claims, with Ukraine also conducting drone strikes, albeit with limited outcomes, reported the BBC.

Key Takeaways

Zelensky lacks firm security commitments from European allies.

The UK and France discuss troop deployments; the US lacks commitment.

Territorial concessions and security guarantees remain unresolved.

Maybe this extremely poor 4th class actor of a conductor should realize, that he outstayed his welcome on the stage of this proxy war between Russia and the Western puppet master US, nicely pulling the strings of villains like Merz (Blackrock), Macron (Rothschild) and Von der Leyen (grossdeutsche Wehrmacht). Clear the stage, bring this whole story to an end so the world.

Next to look at and clear up is the Gaza Strip disaster and his Netanyahu and his buddies.

The Venezuelan war theatre has just started and so it is not possible yet to see, in which direction all this goes except that the USD got reindorsed as the currency of trading oil while whacking China with higher, world-market prices without being no longer in control of supply out of Venezuela.

The Iranian set-up with crumble on its own and we all can only hope that Israel is not listening to the marching orders coming from the East side of the US to nuke the Mullahs into oblivion ;-) While getting rid of those bearded store age preachers of hatred is certainly a good thing I just hope it happens the natural way ;-)
