In fact, as the article it seems you either didn't read or didn't understand notes, it's not that Harvard isn't producing more research than ever before, it's that the Chinese are accelerating faster. Trump's massive cuts to research should help America decline that much more quickly. Even Republican legislators are rebelling against this:

Actually, had you read the article and understood it, you would have read that the relative decline had begun before Trump. But it's clear that he's accelerating it. Unless you believe that slashing funding for research is actually a way to support research. As I pointed out, not even Republicans in the House and Senate agree with that.

Well done President Trump - MAGA has become MCGA, as your destruction of the USA continues.

It's been clear for years that the entire U.S. educational system is declining against China in particular and the world in general. Standards in U.S. schools and universities from kindergarten through the post-doctoral level have slipped significantly over the past 50 years, with the slide accelerating in the past decade.

China identifies its brightest children and starts teaching them calculus at age five while the U.S. is abolishing advanced math courses in all public schools. Courses on minority studies have replaced courses on chemistry and physics in some U.S. public schools. Chinese children start studying English in the first grade, while U.S. high schoolers are lucky to be offered a year or two of Spanish.

In the city where I live, a school board member put forward the radical proposal that every high school graduate should be required to read out loud and understand the text written on his or her diploma. The proposal was immediately denounced as "racist" by community leaders.

Because of DEI, the U.S. educational system is headed for a shipwreck and can't change course. We have ourselves and ourselves only to blame.

If you want to see how dumb U.S. college students are, take a look at this video. I have to wonder what college it could be- if perhaps its a "community college" that accepts all applicants- or if it is staged, i.e., the interviewer has asked the students to give the dumbest answers possible.
