A pregnant woman unexpectedly gave birth to a baby girl in a rescue vehicle in Samut Prakan on January 15. The incident occurred after the woman's husband, who was driving a trailer truck, pulled over and called for help when she went into labor. Rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation were dispatched to the scene, located near kilometre 25 of Thepharak Road, and swiftly provided assistance.

Arriving at around 2:20 p.m., the rescue team found the 29-year-old woman in distress beside the truck. She was transferred to an ambulance with plans to reach Bang Bo Hospital. However, her condition intensified, leading to the delivery of the baby girl inside the rescue vehicle as hospital staff coordinated for their arrival.

The newborn, weighing 2,620 grams, was delivered with a strong cry, signaling her healthy condition. Both the mother, who was due on January 26, and the child were reported to be in good health after reaching the hospital. This event marked the family's fourth child, with the mother having received antenatal care at Rayong Hospital.

The successful outcome relieved all involved, with the woman's husband having brought her along for safety, a decision that proved crucial. Just last month, a similar incident occurred in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, where a woman delivered her baby boy in a pickup truck. In both cases, prompt emergency response ensured safe deliveries despite challenging circumstances, reported The Thaiger.
