Over about 15 years, my experience has been that KBank and CitiBank were the best banks in Thailand. Of course, about 2 years ago CitiBank sold their Thai operation to UOB (sadly).

Now, KBank is by far has the best service.

In my opinion, from many dealings K Bank's callcentre is amazing, great listeners, can answer every question clearly and customer always number 1. I have multiple bank accounts in Thailand, most are with K Bank.

Further, I've noticed that K Bank's their bigger branches have also improved in terms of the qaulity of their branch service officer's. Again customer no. 1.

K Bank's callcentre is way ahead of the other bank's callcentre service. BBL's callcentre service way behind K Bank, even had the situation wgere I claled BBL, got an answer, then a few hours later wondered about the coretness of the initial answr. I called again, completely different answer. Other banks (e.g SCB and more) even further behind K Bank.

K Bank have made big progress on getting all of their services onto one digital integrated platform (KBiz, on PC and on smartphone, now do all my banking on KBiz on my smartphone. Most other banks still running multiple platforms (multiple software systems) which don't coordinate well.

I've used Kasikorn for 18 years. Never a single problem. Good app. Nice green colour.

  • I've had accounts in almost every bank in TH, and there is very little difference, if any, with any of them. Just pick one that is convenient to your location.

I like having two accounts at SCB. The SCB EZ savings account currently pays 1.5% (up to 1M ฿). I also have a regular savings account from them that I use for daily expenses. I keep the bulk of my

I have an account at SCB because my employer encouraged it by promising earlier deposits each month.

I just use routine features of the app to pay bills etc.

Branches everywhere.

No problems but don't expect TLC when going into a branch.

They are ok.

SCB also.

App is good to use.

We use 3 branches in our area.

Getting my annual letter for immigration is quick and easy to get in any branch.

Without a doubt Krungsri aka the yellow bank, 15min max for immigration letter and statement, you can send money to any other Thai bank by using their ATMs, you can email them without signing in, and they reply very quickly, interest rates on a par with all other banks. Can withdraw 30,000 b in one go.

I made a complaint about an ATM machine that kept closing down on Koh Chang and less than 10 days later they had fitted a new one.

The BIG problem with Krungsri is they discriminate against older people by not allowing them to use online banking. I believe the cutoff age is 70, may even be 65.

No online access in this day makes them useless. It is the only bank I know of with this attitude, and I don't know why they haven't been sued for discrimination.

I had my account at BBL, but they seem not to be interested in my needs. They are big on selling insurance, though. They don't like it when you go into the branch to do banking business. BBL needs permission to execute the Visa Extension paperwork, so it takes several days.

I have switched ti Kasikorn Bank. They can do my Visa Extension paperwork right now. They haven't tried to sell me any insurance and they don't complain when I go into the branch for business transactions.
