Emails Link Sarah Ferguson to Epstein After Prison Release

Featured Replies

Newly released emails suggest that Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, visited Jeffrey Epstein just five days after his release from prison for child sex offences — and brought her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, with her.

According to messages disclosed as part of a major US Department of Justice document release, Epstein informed Ghislaine Maxwell on July 28, 2009, that “ferg and the two girls” had visited him the previous day. At the time, Epstein was under house arrest in Florida after serving a jail sentence for soliciting a minor for prostitution. Beatrice and Eugenie were reportedly 20 and 19 years old.

Emails also show Ferguson directly arranging the visit. In a message sent on July 27, 2009, she asked Epstein for his address and mentioned that she, Beatrice, and Eugenie would be coming for lunch. Other correspondence suggests Epstein hosted them at his Palm Beach mansion.

Further emails indicate Epstein helped facilitate social meetings between the princesses and his goddaughter, Celina Dubin, and her mother, Eva Dubin, wife of billionaire hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin. The communications point to ongoing contact between Ferguson and Epstein both before and after his prison sentence.

In later emails, Epstein complained to others that Ferguson did not publicly defend him, despite being among the first to visit him after his release. Separate messages also show Ferguson seeking financial assistance from Epstein, including requests for help with rent and charities.

The emails form part of millions of documents made public by US authorities, shedding new light on Epstein’s relationships with high-profile figures. While Ferguson has previously said she regrets her association with Epstein and described it as a “terrible error of judgment,” the newly released messages highlight the extent and timing of their continued contact following his conviction.
