Two women filed complaints with the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in Bangkok, accusing a renowned Ang Thong undertaker known as Sanom of sexual abuse during ritual ceremonies aimed at removing black magic. The complainants, accompanied by paranormal investigator Jiraphan “Mor Pla” Phetkhao, met with Police Major General Charoonkiat Pankaew to formally lodge their accusations. The women allege that the ceremonies involved inappropriate physical contact and fraudulent practices under the guise of spiritual healing.

The incidents reportedly took place after one of the victims, identified as Ning, sought help for her husband's chronic illness. She encountered Sanom online, where he advertised ritual bathing sessions at 200 baht each, claiming influence with senior officers. However, upon participating in the ritual, Ning claims she was coerced into undressing and said Sanom used a knife for body markings, shaved her pubic hair, and inserted a talisman into her genital area. Despite these actions, her husband's health showed no improvement.

Other women have reported similar experiences, prompting the deputy commissioner to invite further victims to step forward. Allegations indicate that up to 10 women may have undergone similar abuse. Police are investigating potential charges of indecent assault and fraud against Sanom, and are checking his alleged ties with high-ranking officials. The use of temple premises for these alleged rituals is also under scrutiny for legal violations.

Paranormal investigator Mor Pla distanced himself from Sanom, emphasizing his frustration over the misuse of his name on social media. He reassured victims that justice should be attainable despite the lack of evidence, as they were required to be alone during the rituals. Mor Pla further dismissed the existence of black magic, expressing optimism that the CIB would take appropriate legal action.
