February 27Feb 27 Yesterday I stopped by Chiang Mai Immigration to pick up directions and forms for a Visa extension based on marriage. The directions now state; " Bank certificate, [not longer than 7 days] bank statement and updated bank book...." When I read this I think I can now go the day before to get the necessary bank statements and certificate. In the past I had to go the same day which always made the day a bit crazy. Can anyone confirm this or have I misunderstood the directions. Thank you.
February 27Feb 27 As far as I'm aware Buriram IMM always insist on the bank letter on same day as renewal. Not really a problem.

February 27Feb 27 Popular Post Bank Statements and Bank Letter are valid for 7 days. Most "normal" Immigration offices allow you to obtain these prior to day of application. Sadly some offices play with their own deck and require those items to be obtained day of application. Ridiculous.
February 27Feb 27 The bank book only needs to be updated on the same day, as far as I know.Letter and 12 month statement can be from the day before.

February 27Feb 27 I have had the crazy day experience at Chaeng Wattana for at least the last 6 years where they would NOT accept statements printed the day before even when the balance matched a bank balance slip printed on the day. No, they need statements up to & including the date of application which can only be achieved by going to the bank first before applying. When the SCB branch in the Govt Center closed, I started keeping a record of the time since there isn't much else to do. There is a branch nearby that opens at 08.30 that makes the day not impossible! 2024 2025 2026Outside SCB 07.30 08.05 08.10 Enter SCB 08.30* 08.30* 08.30* * 1st in queue Leave SCB 08.50 08.45 08.42Arrive CW 09.00 08.55 08.56Queue number 32 33 37** ** also got on line appt @ 10.00CW check docs 10.35 10.58 10.20 ** lose on line ap to agent pushing inSubmit docs - start 10.50 11.20 10.46All docs with them now 11.00 11.35 11.30# # copy on lineTM30 rqd unavailable Docs returned done 11.45 13.30 13.45 to me but they could find it onlineThey insist on bank statements throughout the whole year which I don't think is a standard requirement but if they think is it is important, I make it as easy for them as possible.

Every year I obtain 12 month bank statement + Bank Letter days prior to application.Update yes required on day of application. Many reports mirror my experience.Don't understand your report as it's against all other experiences

February 28Feb 28 Bankletter and statement are good for 7 days, transfer small amount in your account on the day you go immigration, make update bankbook and copy before you go.

March 1Mar 1 Many years in Khon Kaen it was ok with all the stuff from the day before. Some two years ago I was asked to update bank book on day of application. That's not a big deal.

I still own property in Thailand and have been married to my Thai wife for 28 years . I reckon the retirement visa will be most sensible as I wont have to involve my wife and once the money is seasoned for 3 months it can go back in Stock market ,But i will have to get an O visa in UK before i come back in September .

When they dont see something simple they always say No

Being Oz, I don't have embassy letter.I have rental investments etc. They are consolidated into my Oz bank account. On the 14th of every month I transfer a set amount to my Kasikorn account using WISE. Instant transfer. Obviously more than 65k.I ask Kasikorn for 12 month bank statement to be in Thai language and as a result the highlighted monthly transfers have Thai script basically indicating "money from abroad"Fortunately CW does not want to see proof of pension. Nor should they. It's income method.
