3 months storage for Bike Travel Bag near BKK Airport – Where?

Featured Replies

Hello, I am looking for a place to store a large bike travel bag (Evoc Bike Bag Pro, dimensions 147 x 85 x 35 cm) for 88 days within a 50 km radius North or East of BKK Airport.

The options I’m considering:

·         Small Warehouse: 10–50 km from the airport, ~ 500 THB/month (see 3 addresses below)

·         Bike/Motorcycle Shop: Asking locally (e.g., near HHBL/Sky Lane in Lat Krabang), ~ 500 THB for 3 months.

I am looking for specific recommendations or contacts.

Location Preference: The storage should be North or East of the airport to avoid the heavy traffic of central Bangkok. Storage directly at the airport is not an option (too expensive and lacks the space/time needed for the 2-hour bike assembly/disassembly).

My plan after arrival at BKK airport:

1.      Load the bike bag (with the bike inside) into my rental car at BKK airport.

2.      Drive 10–50 km to the storage/assembly location.

3.      Unpack and assemble the bike in dry, shaded place (about 2 hours).

4.      Hand over the empty bag for storage.

5.      Drive away (bike in the car, bag stays in storage).

Staff are welcome to inspect the bag; it will be completely empty.

I am NOT looking for a hotel stay with storage; I want to drop the bag and go far away immediately.

Requirements Recap:

·         Bag size: 147 x 85 x 35 cm.

·         Duration: ~88 days starting ca. Nov 21, 2026.

·         Space: Needs to be a dry, well-lit area, shaded where I can work on the bike for 2 hours.

·         Parking: Rental car parking must be available nearby (within 200m).

Who has experience with shops mentioned below or other specific recommendations for long-term storage from real-life? Thanks!

Potential Solutions 1: Warehouses:

·         Bangkok Warehouse (Bang Phli): 25 km east of BKK. ~500 THB net/sqm/month. https://www.bangkokwarehouse.com/

·         Warehouse 12 (King Kaew / Bang Phli): 12 km from BKK. https://www.storagethailand.com/luggage-storage. They mention "oversized" luggage like surfboards for 500 THB/month.

·         SpaceHub Suvarnabhumi (King Kaew Rd): Very close to BKK. App access. Possible to assemble bike in the covered/lit loading bay. ~743 THB/month.

Potential Solutions 2: Bike Shops: Bike Shops near HHBL / Sky Lane (Lat Krabang):

(Plan: Assemble bike at Sky Lane parking lot – which has shade, toilets, and cafes – then drop bag at a nearby shop.)

·         Two Wheels Ride (2WR): Lat Krabang Rd. Known for touring bikes; usually very accommodating.

·         Hero Bike Shop: Lat Krabang area. Focuses on high-end bikes.

·         En/r/oute: Lat Krabang. Specialized in road and gravel bikes.

Bike Shops in Chachoengsao (40–60 km east):

·         88 Bike Shop (Ban Pho): On Highway 314. Easy to reach by car with plenty of space to work.

·         C. Sport Chachoengsao / Bike Center Chachoengsao: Established shops in the city area.

·         Search "storage Chachoengsao" online

Wherever you choose to store the bicycle, be as certain as possible that the shop/facility is legit and has a good track record. Hiding a GPS tracker or Airtag-type device inside a tire might not be a bad idea.

I say this because my ~100k baht gravel bike along with a few million baht of other bicycles were all stolen from the storage room we used near Lake Maprachan in East Pattaya sometime at the end of last year. House at registered address for the owner is completely vacated. Police reports filed by many of the victims with no success so far.

The Thai owner seemed a very nice guy, spoke great English and was good friends with someone in my condo, so it all seemed pretty legit to me. He was reliable and did great work on my bike at his adjoining shop.

First time in my 14 years in Thailand that something has been stolen from me, but it indeed can happen.

Happy Bike Lane shop on Nong bong park stored my bike bag at 500 thb per month. About 150-200 thb taxi from airport.

You're welcome to store it at my condo - I'm at Phra Khanong, near the BTS

You can use any Public Storage facilities like SpaceHub Self-Storage is close to the airport

Buy a lock and your all good. Most have multiple layers of security and access control along with security cameras so you can rest easy

I believe that h is not going to store the bike, just the bag. Read #4-5 directly from the OP:

Curious why you don't pack it in a disposable cardboard box?

You can assemble your bike in the airport, throw the box away. And when it's time to go home, have a bicycle shop box it up for you. Costs me 400 Baht at Bang Na bike shop. Hassle free, saves time and money.

Hi all, thanks for good input!

There are several reasons for a bike bag trolley vs. cardboard box:

 • the bike bag trolley easily rolls along.

 • It might get wet when i transport it without car on the way to airport.

 • I can more easily stuff non-bike stuff into the bike bag trolley when i pack it at home compared to a packing service in the bicycle store (non-bike stuff may not be allowed as per airline regulations, but IRL i never had a problem neither with non-bike stuff nor overweight up to 42 kgs).

The bike bag trolley has pros and cons, i see the cons, but i just tend to the bike bag trolley for now (especially as i already own it) (that bike bag is expensive and even without a bicycle inside, a GPS tracker might be in order).

And yes, i only want to store the bag, not the bicycle.

I could also carry around the empty bike bag trolley in the car. I did that too one time. It's just a slight nuisance.
