Dear Folks,

I have absolutely no idea how to create a “poll”, on TV.

However, be that as it may be, what is your opinion?

Will Trump back down?

Deep in his big heart, Trump knows that the right move, given the reality of his situation, is to finally step down from his high-horse, and just….BACK DOWN.

Do you think he is capable for doing so?

Yes?

No?

IMHO, the answer is a definite YES.

Trump is easily capable of pragmatically backing down, and getting out of Iran, while the getting is good.

Of course, he will attempt to couch his retreat, in ways that will protect his ego, even if nobody really cares. There will be a victory parade, replete with Trump Caps, probably.

Very recently, Trump has pretty much admitted that he requires help, and not just psychological help, in order to put an end to his misstep into the giant quagmire of his attack on Iran.

Did he misjudge his own SuperHuman powers, once too often, this time?

Also, when will Trump back down?

Tomorrow, maybe?

But then, tomorrow will be far too soon.

Next week, maybe?

Shirley, next week would be inopportune, and would not give him enough time to erase his clear link to impending disaster.

So then, when, do YOU think Trump will throw in the towel?

There is no way that Trump can continue this war, one which has almost zero direction and no purpose, without further sullying himself, not to mention, even possibly…soiling himself.

So, this Poll Question is:

When will Trump throw in the towel and declare Bibi…persona non gratis, at the White House?

Please share your votes on this question.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Gamma

Note:  Trump, by his very nature, NEVER GIVES UP.  Trump always comes back.

Note2: Let us all recall, if we will, that it was the Democrats who ushered in this second-term of Donald Trump to our world. Let us remember this, please, if and when the smoke finally clears.

Note3: Where to Buy Potassium iodide (KI) pills?

Are these available from iHerb?

I am happy, these days, to be living in Chaing Mai, rather than Tel Aviv, for sure.....

I plan to stock up on KI, just in case, nevertheless....

This is complete nonsense. You present this as an adult discussion, yet fill it with irrelevant music videos and random supplement links, as if that somehow strengthens your point. It does not. It makes the entire post look unserious and incoherent.

If you genuinely expect thoughtful responses, then put forward something that demonstrates even a minimal level of focus and respect for the people reading it. Right now, this comes across as disorganized noise rather than a meaningful topic.

I regret wasting time engaging with your previous post, and I will not be repeating that mistake. There is a clear difference between having a perspective and wasting everyone’s attention, and this firmly falls into the latter.

If you want to be taken seriously, start by showing that you are capable of presenting a serious, coherent argument. Until then, this is not worth anyone’s time.

This topic gets a big red thumbs down and nothing more.

Sorry.

You are mistaken.

This is a serous topic.

Please re-read it, and then you will see.

Beware the Strontium 90, by the way...because....

It's a killer.

No, that is not how this works. I am not going to sort through something deliberately confusing just to guess at your point.

If you want a real discussion, then present something clear and focused. Show that you actually have a point and that you respect the time of the people reading it. Right now, your post is unfocused and deliberately mixes unrelated ideas in a way that makes meaningful discussion impossible. It's an insult.

If you want to talk about politics, then do that. If you want to talk about health supplements, then post in the appropriate section of the forum and stay on topic. Combining everything into one intentionally tangled post is not productive and it is unfair to anyone trying to engage with it.

If you genuinely want input, then the best step would be to ask a moderator to close this thread and start a new one that clearly lays out your question or argument.

If you choose not to do that, then there is nothing more for me to add. I am not going to spend time trying to decode something that should have been written clearly in the first place.

And to be clear, if you continue replying to me with these same vague innuendo, word salad associations, or tangents meant to sound clever and witty rather than communicate clearly, do not expect another response from me at all and I will simply ignore everything you post henceforth like most people already do with your topics. I will engage only if you communicate directly and with the same level of respect I am showing you here.

You have, obviously, called Jeffery Sachs an idiot.

Is THIS focused enough for you?

Furthermore, Sachs is by no means any tool for the mainstream media, or any "alternative" media.

Sachs's intention is NOT to somehow "draw us in", but to try to shine a light, yet few listen.

The unfortunate fact is that the "media", you mention, do not like him.

You will not see Sachs in the media, or only very rarely.

The ONLY reason you are discussing Sachs, now, is due to the fact that you are benefiting by reading TV.

And, might I add, if it were not for me, posting on TV, then you would not have been lucky enough to....

Have been graced with the much more enlightened and nuanced analysis of Jeff Sachs.

IF only.

IF only you had had the good fortune to attend Columbia University....years ago....

But, alas...you did not...and so....as I always say in cases like yours....

Such a tragedy when good brains go to waste.

Yet, a first class education is not for everyone, I guess.

Say what you may, but Sachs deservedly receives worldwide respect for his first-class mind, and his caring about our world.

On the other hand, I could completely forgive your disgust for similar views if expressed by my good friend Noam.

Everybody, or almost everybody, in America hates Noam.

By the way: What do you think of one of my favorite trilogies, Spring Snow?

The only reason I mention it is due to your apparent interest in Kyoto....

So, enjoy this image, if you will....

Hopefully, someday, we can meet together, on the bridge mentioned in this trilogy, and drink to mutual understanding.

Who is Sachs and why has he entered this topic?

As far as I can tell you are the person who mentioned this name, not Kyoto Kyle.

Speaking of useful idiots and the attention economy point I made yesterday, where spectacle is valued above substance, this does seem to be a framework you already understand very well.

The reason I say that is simple. You seem to have a habit of waiting for those quiet stretches when activity in the pub drops off and very few new threads appear for a few days. That is usually when you make your move and suddenly release a cluster of four or five topics at once, as you did yesterday. It gives the strong impression that these are not posts you are making organically in the moment, but posts you have been holding back until the timing best serves you.

The obvious advantage, of course, is that you get to stack the forum's front page so that several of the newest threads are yours at the same time. It is a transparent attempt to dominate attention by high post volume when you apparently do not trust the individual merits of your posts to carry them on their own. In other words, you seem every bit as familiar with the mechanics of the attention economy as anyone else.

As for whether there is much actual value in what you are posting, I suspect others would dispute that rather strongly. If the substance were doing the work, after all, there would be no need to stage manage the timing so carefully for maximum visibility.

In his seminal work War and Punishment, Hein Goemans argues that for leaders in semi-repressive or autocratic systems, the cost of admitting defeat is existential. If a leader believes that losing a war will lead not just to political removal but to imprisonment or death, they are incentivized to “gamble for resurrection.”

This is the situation both Trump & Putin find themselves in. In the name of self interest the Republicans in both houses have ceded autocratic powers to Trump.

  • Popular Post

His cabinet peeps are already saying they are not real sure why he did this.

Trump is a nincompoop and an idiot, he'll have to draw this thing down as there is no appetite for this in the U.S.

Remember, this is about Mr. Taco-man himself. He won't admit that he is backing down on anything as that would require sane thoughts and he is far from that IMHO.

I doubt the Israelis will back down now that they have the destruction of the regime in Iran firmly in their sight. I don't expect the USA to withdraw leaving Israel to carry on the fight alone. Bear in mind that most countries around the world would like to see the end of the Islamic Republic of Iran even if they decline to openly support military action against it.

Trump will eventually withdraw American naval forces from the Middle East. Already one aircraft carrier group has been removed for 'repairs'.

The Iranian regime will remain in power and will rebuild their military bigger and better than ever.

The new Ayatolla will remove the current Fatwa prohibiting nuclear weapons and resume work on ballstic missiles and nuclear weapons to be able to reach Israel in the first instance and then mainland America.

Once Iran is nuclear capable they will be safe from further attacks from America.

Of course Trump will back down, he's a bloviator, he's a man who is good with threat, he has a ridiculously high assessment of who he is, and the reality shows that he is the exact opposite, he's incapable, he's incompetent, he's dumb and he has no vision.

He's getting his butt kicked economically, and he did not expect Iran to behave in this way and demolish local trade and close the Strait. He is utterly desperate. And perhaps he's thinking twice about the wisdom of appointing the least conpetent and the least experienced SEC DEF in American history.

Trump's stupidity continues to boggle the mind and his level of worldwide destructiveness at this point is historic

With an abundance of oil, that means they could possibly even "buy" a nuke and they already know how to make the delivery vehicles. I am no Trump fan but definitely not a fan of Iran and their proxy armies either.

I suspect that she would be the one to take the most offence if she knew about it!

Trump will look for an exit. Probably Cuba.

Trump has rally been sucker punched by Israel. Regime change was unlikely, and as soon as Oman announced that Iran had agreed to give up there 60% uranium, Israel attacked, as the last thing they wanted was an Iran which had averted the war. Israel took out the Iranian leaders AND any moderate leaders who might do a deal with the USA. Result - the hard-liners are now in charge who have no interest in ANY deal. That suits Israel, who will enjoy destroying Iranian infrastructure until it is too weak to present any threat. Also, Turkey is next apparently.

Iran signed a deal with the USA and major European countries to stop enriching Uranium above commercial levels, and the IAEA found no evidence of any transgressions. Trump scrapped that deal in 2018. Iran was only enriching the Uranium to pressurise for a new deal. Khamanei had issued a fatwa banning nuclear weapons. It would be an offence against god to do so while that fatwa was in place. Iran is a technologically advanced country, if Pakistan could develop nuclear weapons, Iran could have done so years ago.

Israel has one aim - hegemony over the whole middle-east. From resolution 181, pushed by the USA (which allocated 56% of Palestine to Jews, even though Arabs made up 60% of the population) to the present day, Israel has ignored all that the UN has stood for with full support of the USA and the acquiescence of most Western states; Israel developed nuclear weapons but it is Iran that is being punished for supposedly wanting them, not Israel. One fact that most do not realise - where are Israeli nuclear missiles aimed at? Not just other Middle-eastern nations, but Europe as well.

Ignore the Israeli propaganda. Israel is the real cancer.

President Trump, will NOT back down ... he does NOT need NATO members to help .. ha has basically cleared the path for them to fortify and protect their own oil needs... remember this .... Ukraine and Russia is not our war.... ( hint )

oh.... did anyone bother to see the current news break ? Britain Germany France Italy Netherlands and Japan have all ( woke up from their coma ) and agreed to pitch in !

Notice oil markets ? Asia ( Oman/Dubai ) $167 Brent $113 and U.S $97

keep playing checkers..... and learn 4D chess

sorry to all the people affected by the syndrome.. but at some point the cranium must be removed from the rectum

Ignore the Israeli propaganda. Israel is the real cancer.

Never a truer word spoken, concerning the "real" cancer in this fiasco.

The state of Israel was injected into a region where it does not belong.

And the method of injection was to use colonial powers.

Add to this, Israel has grandiose and impractical leaders, and leadership.

And then, throw in a big dollop of mythology and religion, and backward thinkng, part of the guidance of the state.

So yes: We can see Israel for what it has become. A cancer on the body of the ME. And, as all cancers, Israel's sole reason for being is to grow, and to kill its host.

Israel, the cancer that it is, will die, as all cancers die, and that is when ALL NUTRIENTS are cut off to the malignancy.

Trump is setting up both Hegseth and Miller to take the fall. He "praised" Hegseth saying he was the first to push for an attack on Iran. Then Bondi praised and gushed over Miller and trump enthusiastically applauded. He doesn't ever just sit there when someone else gets credit for something unless he wants them to get the blame. Otherwise he makes it about himself. But he just grinned and applauded, hands over his head.

The bus is en route and they'll both be going under it as soon as it's necessary.
