A 25-year-old Thai man has filed a police complaint after being assaulted by a group of more than 20 men at a nightlife venue in Pattaya, leaving him injured along with two others. The incident occurred at around 22:00 on 24 March 2026 along Pattaya Third Road. The victim, referred to only as Mr Ek submitted video evidence to authorities and said he intended to pursue the case to the fullest extent of the law.

Mr Ek said he had been drinking with friends at the venue when a dispute broke out between women in his group and another group. A man accompanying the opposing group allegedly pushed one of the women, prompting Mr Ek to intervene and tell him the matter should be resolved between the women themselves. The man reportedly became angry and called more than 20 associates to the scene.

According to Mr Ek, he attempted to calm the situation and explain what had happened, but the group refused to listen and attacked him. He suffered swelling around his right eye and bruising across his body. He urged police to quickly track down the attackers and bring them to justice.

Two additional people were injured while trying to assist him. A married couple, Mr A, 26, and Ms Nan, 26, said they rushed in to help after seeing Mr Ek being beaten. They were also assaulted by the group, and Ms Nan was struck while trying to stop the violence.

Police initially recorded statements from all three victims as evidence and issued medical examination forms so they could receive treatment at hospital. Investigators have been assigned to review CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects and proceed with legal action.

The incident has raised concerns about safety at nightlife venues in Pattaya, particularly regarding large groups becoming involved in personal disputes. Authorities have indicated they will rely on surveillance footage and witness testimony to establish the identities of those responsible. The victims have expressed hope that swift action will prevent similar incidents in the future.

It's getting to be like the wild West out here. Anyhow, a mass brawl is just the way to end a good night out!

Looks like the old Xzyte venue, lots of action going on there these days.

Should not have demolished the old nightclub, kept the old venue.

I was a regular, never saw any violence.

That was one of my all-time favorites! I thought the price of a bottle, mixer, and a bucket of ice was WELL worth it for the level of pro entertainment.

That was also the first time I suddenly felt a strange pair of hands touching me from behind as I was getting rid of some of that bottle and mixer in the toilet. Naturally shocked the hell out of me. When the guy finally got it across that he was just gonna crack my neck (and not that of the little soldier), I let him go for it. GREAT experience, left him a healthy tip feeling like a new man!

I'm not sure why people would consider visiting Pattaya anymore.

Thais never cease to amaze me with their "dog pack" mentality.

Well, this incident does dispell the theory generalization if it was an farang others Thais will jump in!😂

Maybe the shoulder massage when you were peeing kept everyone relaxed..great value at only 20 baht 😁

Hmmmm, seems like a fair fight to me. Twenty cowards on one guy. Land of Cowards.

I lived in Silver Place, opposite Xzyte for a year while my house was being built.

Stumbled across 3rd road, drunk, getting back to my apartment most weekends. Living long term they put me on the top floor, no lift, girlfriend found me asleep in the stair well many times

20 whimps band together to gang up before their nightly circle jerk. Truly spineless slime...

Only twenty,where were their mates?

Nah. Thailand is still infinitely safer and infinitely less violent than America. 99.9% of the violence here are Thais fighting with each other, so it does not concern us in the least.

If goofballs want to take out their yah yahs on strangers for the most petty of reasons let them go at it. Do we care? No not much.

What? Was someone assaulted in a bar in Pattaya? Who would have ever guessed that could happen?

The old expression "Go Pattaya boom-boom" is now "Go Pattaya bang-bang" :-(

20 blokes against 1 does not equate to a mass brawl. Just 1 coward calling on 19 of his mates to take on one solitary person. True Thai bravery 😡

Well I’m glad to read that Thai people I’m prejudice usually when there’s a foreigner involved be six or seven against one so when it says 20 against one or three and they’re all Thai people it makes me feel like there’s no discrimination TIT

Thais fight like a clan of hyenas

Bit off topic but had the same 'chiro' experience about 30 years ago in a Walking street toilet.

He fairly swiftly, but carefully, rotated my head/neck left and right..

Crack!!

All previous neck and back pain of the prev decade vanished....to this day.

Couldn't believe it!!

Gave him a good tip too.

(not sure how many bowls of rice that equated to back then....for the "cheap Charlie" commenter)

The only violence - if you could call it that, I ever witnessed back then....late 90's to early 2000's...was when a a drunk idiot (despite his group of mates trying to stop him) jumped naked into the large spa pool, full of very cute, totally naked, young ladies .

(upstairs somewhere in Nana....forget the name)

Well....about 6 strong security guys were on him as he tried to scamper away.....wet and naked, out the back.

By the noise and yelps he got a sound beating!

Of course all the girls quickly got out and had to go and shower, and the pool had to be emptied and cleaned!

Bet he didn't do that again!

I am often surprised at why westerners don't think much of the Thai dog pack style of fighting. Somehow, westerners think there should be "fair" fights that follow the Marquis of Queensbury rules.

I think Thais would prefer to win their fights and socialized fighting achieves that aim. Never pick a fight in Thailand if you want a fair fight.

It's terrible yo say but over the last 10 or 12 years this place has been slowly going down in a bad way, there are places where you just don't go anymore.Alcohol and a mixture of people from different countries can never be a good thing.

Not that it was the case here, but one piece of advice that I heard many times in my 20 years in Thailand was: "Never drink with Thai men." (Especially ones that you don't know.)
