The Family Friendly Resort strikes again!

Stupid comment from someone who does not know Pattaya. It took place at a Thai nightclub in the 3rd road area of the city, well away from the tourist areas. Its Thai fighting Thai. It's a common occurrence in all night cities in Thailand, not only Pattaya.

It's getting to be like the wild West out here. Anyhow, a mass brawl is just the way to end a good night out!

Reminds me of The Tower in Hull back in the early '90's. Great night out!

Anyone who knows Pattaya would know that it is a resort for both domestic and international tourists. Do you somehow imagine that the resort's image only matters for international tourists?

Who has 20 friends on call, available to come out all at one time at a moment's notice to fight one guy who upset one of the members of the group? That itself is suspicious, and suggests that they are a gang of thugs.

Of course many domestic tourists visit Pattaya in their droves mainly at weekends from Bangkok and especially during the music festivals and fireworks etc. These people tend not to be the ones fighting in a Thai nightclub that they probably wouldn't even know was there. I would suggest that this type of incident has zero effect on how the city is perceived by these type of tourists. Having lived in the Pattaya area for 13 years and a frequent visitor to the many bars and restaurants I can honestly say I have not seen a fight or anything like it in this time. I did see a couple of punch ups when I was a tourist 20 years ago but nothing since. Considering the amount of people that visit Pattaya from the the many different cultures and backgrounds from around the world, I am surprised there are not more issues. A fight between Thai's at a Thai nightclub is something that happens between locals in every country of the world. It's got nothing to do with the image of a city, its just something that happens everywhere.
