Trump started a trade war with the Chinese. They held all the rare earth cards.

Now Iran holds all the oil cards. History repeats itself.

There are still people that think Trump is playing 5D chess. In reality, what's he playing is more like a fake reality tv show without a script. He's having fun, he and his cronies are making billions

One man started the U.S. war against Iran. It's well documented that the military warned him against it.

Pretty obvious he does, after all he destroyed the greatest enemy of the USA who has been threatening us for 47 years.

The economy is humming along despite the so called war. We are energy self sufficient. Tax refunds should be hitting the economy. And more, all despite a country hating opposition party WITH NO POLICIES WHATSOEVER other than hate a discord using all the tricks they can to make things bad for the people, since a prerequisite for their revolution is misery.

I must have missed something. What was the country that treathened us for 47 years, that Donald has "destroyed"?

So nothing other than rumour and speculation. You do know about things like C-RAMS right? How many drones did Iran launch yesterday, btw.

77. So you think Hegseth wants $200 billion for more crab legs?

There are a maximum of 25 C-RAMS in the Gulf States. Do the math, how many targets do the Iranians have?

It's not about oil producers, it's about how much oil supply the Iranians can choke off.

Only 20% or less according to the news. Good for US oil producers to receive higher prices. Oil barons be loving it.

I'm guessing you have never studied economics, and are unaware of the effect higher oil prices have on inflation of everything - food, transport, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers etc.

I don't know if the oil barons are loving it, as it pushes people to EV's.

It pushes people to motorbikes and bicycles. EVs are expensive and slow to top up. The future is motorbikes like Thailand.

Maybe so. But then, check out the death rate on motorbikes in Thailand, vs cars.

Something I always wanted to ask you. Your Avatar text reads like this:

"Location: A live human and not a bot who enjoys a Peaceful World thanks to Donald Trump, Leader of the Free World and Your Boss".

Are you still going by this or were there times when you have considered to "rephrase" your Avatar text?

What if you removed cars from roads? The death rate would then fall as often it is cars hitting bike riders. Introduce skytrains into every city with carriages for bikes. Also build buses with storage for bikes.

That's changing. In China, which is far in the lead when it comes to electric vehicles of all types:

Conversely, in China, the price distribution of available BEV models closely resembles that of ICEVs, with about 40% of available electric models priced below USD 25 000 (against 45% for ICEV models), and more than half below USD 30 000. In 2024, this price distribution was reflected in sales, with the median price paid for a battery electric car standing at around USD 24 000, about USD 700 less than for an ICE car. This trend towards a larger share of more affordable models is expected to continue in the short term, as 60% of announced models with a known price are expected to launch below the USD 30 000 mark.

https://www.iea.org/reports/global-ev-outlook-2025/trends-in-electric-car-affordability

As for charging, it's hard to fill up your car with gasoline at home. But you can easily charge your EV at home.

What's more charging times are getting a lot faster

"When you pair these chargers with BYD's new cars, the results are impressive. Vehicles like the Denza Z9 GT and the Yangwang U7 have the second-generation Blade Battery. On a Flash Charging pile, these electric cars can go from 10% to 70% battery in just 5 minutes. Even a nearly full charge from 10% to 97% only takes about 9 minutes under normal conditions.

Cold weather usually makes electric cars charge much slower, but BYD claims it has fixed that problem. They tested the new battery system in extreme cold. After sitting in -30°C weather for an entire day, the battery could still charge from 20% to 97% in only 12 minutes. This is a big deal for drivers in places like Northern Europe or North America, where winter usually makes EV charging a chore."

EV cars don't solve the traffic problem at all. Skytrains and motorbikes do. The skytrain system in Bangkok solves a lot of transport issues and a more advanced system is the future.

Wow? Was the airbase destroyed? What a barrage.

Thats not even 1/4 of a F35 load and there were probably 25 dropping bombs over Iran.

You lost. Give up.

The E‑3G is a roughly 50‑year‑old platform, and the U.S. Air Force has long said that major structural fatigue and obsolete radar architecture make deep repair uneconomical. Biden initiated the transition to the Australian E‑7 Wedgetail but Trump tried to cancel the program in early 2025 in favor of an immature satellite‑based ISR concept. Congress in its wisdom kept the E-7 program. Unit cost is likely around $1.5 billion by the time operational aircraft enter service in 2028–2030.

And what has Bezos to do with this? Bezos is a successful businessman, while Trump is a failure throughout his life.

Excellent. Your boss is Donald. I hope it helps you to climb the "career ladder".

I myself have been "self employed" since 1978. Not having to "suck-up" to some pseudo-kings and their ideology. Blessed I am.

Who is the boogeymen these days?

2 hours ago, Lacessit said:

You are missing the point. Iran is using $30,000 drones to exhaust a limited supply of million-dollar Patriot and THAAD interceptors. It also takes far less time to build one of those drones.

Already, there are rumors American inventories are critically low. Perhaps that's why Hegseth wants to go over budget by $200 billion.

Yes, For sure Israel is now running out of air defense missiles.

Only a very few more days' supply left.
