There are still people that think Trump is playing 5D chess. In reality, what's he playing is more like a fake reality tv show without a script. He's having fun, he and his cronies are making billions

The economy is humming along? Let me state the case for the defense.

Current data from this month suggests that the conflict with Iran and associated regional instability have introduced significant economic headwinds. Here are ten facts that highlight the current economic strain:

  • Surging Inflation: The OECD has revised its 2026 US inflation forecast upward to 4.2%, the highest among all G7 nations, primarily due to rising energy costs.

  • Stagnating Growth: US GDP growth is projected to slow to 2.0% in 2026 (down from previous estimates) and is expected to dip further to 1.7% in 2027.

  • Oil Price Spikes: Following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in early March, Brent Crude surged past $120 per barrel, directly increasing transport and manufacturing costs.

  • Petrol Pump Pressure: Despite domestic production, US motorists are seeing petrol prices rise by 5 to 10 cents per gallon daily as of mid-March.

  • Widening Deficits: Military engagement and a $1.5 trillion defense spending request have pushed the 2026 federal deficit to an estimated $1.9 trillion.

  • Record National Debt: Publicly held debt is forecasted to reach 101% of GDP in 2026, surpassing levels seen immediately after World War II.

  • Market Volatility: The Morningstar US Market Index fell roughly 4.2% in the first few weeks following the start of the conflict in late February.

  • Monetary Policy Stall: The Federal Reserve has been forced to delay planned interest rate cuts (shifting expectations from June to September) to combat "war-driven" inflation.

  • Supply Chain Disruption: The conflict has caused the largest disruption to the global oil market in history, affecting 20-25% of global supply and increasing the cost of imported goods.

  • Consumer Sentiment: National surveys indicate a "gloomy" outlook amongst the American public, driven by an affordability crisis and the rising cost of essentials like heating and groceries.

Facts again. It's mind boggling to witness most of the MAGA supporters can't see simple facts. When Trump is lying about how great the economy is, they just take his word for it. Like Trump has never lied before... 🤣🤣

That's a heck no. And he definitely doesn't care about the American people, or the world. He only cares about enrichen himself and his billionaire friends, and stealing as much as he can get away with in the process. The corruption around Trump has never been this much in the open, and this enormous, and nobody cares.

Every person in his administration is afraid to step on his toes, or to speak their mind about his madness. Just see how Marjorie Taylor Green was treated when she did.

3 more years, I wonder what more damage he can do. For every day gone since he took over in January last year, the US of A has been digging a deeper hole into the ground.

The point is not if he knows or not what he is doing.

Plainly put, the point is that the mess Israel is making in the Gulf and has conned America to join...this mess will destroy global economy.

Even the Ukrainians are now proposing a "energy truce" with Russia as nobody can otherwise survive. Europe of course foolishly is maintaining the sanctions against Russia, despite the fact that Russia has dead cheap prices on energy (gas, oil etc) and fertilizer and all that is currently lacking in the west due to the destruction of production lines all around the Gulf.

This should also make industrialists have second thoughts and not to put all their eggs in the same basket in the future. Just wait if Iran cuts off the global internet cables that, guess what, transit through the area and are burried under the Strait of Hormuz. Foolishly the tech giants all put their submarine internet cables in that troubled region. Greed usually ends up in leading to one's doom.

Seriously? Do you think we should let Russia be financed so they can keep up and even escalate their war against Ukraine? Rewarding them for it? And god knows who's next on Russia's agenda?

No. Think again. Not happening. The sanctions is the only thing that's actually working, and weakening the aggressor Russia.

If you don't know, Russia is Europe's only and main enemy.

The rest of your post made sense, but this, far, far from it.

Looking to the opposition from Republicans and Democrats in Congres and House, the High Court, the governors of the several states, and.. the normal people, it should be accepted by the American electorate.

In any normal country he would have thrown out of office during his first term. And re-elect after "grab them by the pussy", spiteful, vindictive, acrimonious narcissistic, twit, pompous fopdandy person, never of course. Gives the world an idea about how the Americans think, feel and judge.

Time already far overdue to stand on our own, no software, TV- and movie-entertainment, weapons , etc from this weird nation

I believe Trump THINKS he knows what he is doing, but is not getting the results he thinks his actions should. Also, I believe much of what Trump does is to increase his wealth with no regard for the country.

I don't like to be picky, but I am of course aware that it was Beethoven's 9th that the young "droog" hoodlum in Clockwork Orange was forced to listen to while being tied to a chair with his eyelids sewn back so that he had to witness the gross scene being enacted on screen.

You were meant to remember that in Apocalypse Now, Robert Duvall's character insisted on a booming version of Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" to be broadcast as he led the helicopters' napalm attack on a Vietnamese village.

Perhaps Spielberg and Anthony Burgess were making the same point....the concatenation of high culture and 20th century war.

China’s BYD Opens 2026 With Blockbuster Sales Growth in Europe

Chinese auto giant BYD logged a nearly threefold increase in European sales last month, a glittering start to the year as its electric and hybrid vehicles remain in high demand on the continent.

New-car registrations for BYD models, a reflection of sales, surged to 18,242 units last month from 6,884 in January 2025 across the European Union, the U.K., Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, an industry body also known as ACEA.

BYD sales in Europe have skyrocketed every month—sometimes nearly fivefold—since ACEA began including the company in its data last summer, underscoring growing appetite for its lineup of vehicles among European drivers in a threat to established carmakers.

Poor old Donald (less and less mates) Trump.

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones criticised Donald Trump, claiming the president was in 'free fall' and needed 'intervention'. Jones suggested Trump's health was declining, comparing his current state to his late grandfather's dementia and claiming his brain was 'not doing too hot'.

He also alleged that swelling around Trump's ankles indicated heart failure and described Trump's suggestion to attack Iran's water supplies as a 'war crime'.

Jones called on Republicans to acknowledge Trump's perceived decline, stating, 'We’re sorry he’s obviously had an aneurysm or something or a stroke'.

This criticism marks a significant shift, as Trump previously appeared on Jones's show in 2015, praising his reputation, and other right-wing podcasters like Joe Rogan and Andrew Schulz have also recently criticised Trump.

Watch this video and then tell me this person is not a demented idiot. I dare you!😂

Extract from the Guardian link below:

“At this point, the fear for everyone was a nuclear war between two arch rivals,” said one Pakistan security official – something Trump referenced on Monday when he boasted on his Truth Social social media network that he had prevented a “bad nuclear war” between the two countries.

Trump had tasked Rubio with talking down the Pakistan side, while Vance was the one dealing directly with India and its prime minister, Narendra Modi.

Rubio made repeated calls not only to Munir, the army chief, but also Pakistan’s national security adviser, Asim Malik, and Sharif. According to officials, the message from Rubio was simple: this needs to stop.

Interventions were also made by Saudi Arabia, Iran and the UAE, and the UK also applied pressure through diplomatic backchannels.

“We welcomed the US intervention,” said one Pakistan official. “We don’t want war but if it is imposed upon us, then we have no choice to respond with aggression, as we did.”

BYD is a relative newcomer and it's already beating Tesla. In addition the EU imposes a 27% tariff on BYD's autos. Autos from Tesla's gigafactory in the EU don't pay tariffs.

BYD registrations jump 162% in Europe, beating Tesla again

BYD's new car registrations in the European market surpassed Tesla once again in February, as competition between the two electric vehicle giants intensifies in the region.

In the broader European market covering the European Union, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), and the UK, BYD's new car registrations reached 17,954 units in February, surging 162.3% from 6,844 units a year earlier, according to data released Tuesday by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
