China’s BYD looks to make electric vehicle charging as fast as filling up with petrol

Published: 11:15am, 6 Mar 2026

Wang said the company would build a network of 20,000 “flash charging” stations equipped with the latest technology across China by the end of this year, with 18,000 to be incorporated within existing facilities. The charging stations can hit a peak output of 1,500kW, BYD said.

Time to get building then.

There are still people that think Trump is playing 5D chess. In reality, what's he playing is more like a fake reality tv show without a script. He's having fun, he and his cronies are making billions

One man started the U.S. war against Iran. It's well documented that the military warned him against it.

They've already built thousands of them.

BYD already has more than 4,000 of its mega-fast charging stations in China, but is aiming to have 20,000 up and running by the end of the year.

Just read the poll and answered with a "Yes".

He knows exactly what he is doing - as he doesen't care about the constitution, laws - national and intl. - UNO, NATO and the most important - AMERICA.

Grifters. And the Reps / GOP really think they can get away with it.

What a desaster for the world - but - you get what you choose. It's now on the american people to change this. Nobody else can.

That's an alternative but still valid way to read the poll question.

But that wasn't my intention that people take it that way.

Using the his war of choice with Iran as an example, the gist of the question would be -- did he have a coherent plan, did he have any coherent and consistent war goals, did he carefully consult with experts and congressional leaders first, did he just assume things would magically work out very quicky. did he have carefully detailed plans for contingency actions if his magical thinking instant success didn't work out, did he have exist plans. etc.

You know like a normal president.

But yeah he's as abnormal a president as can be imagined so I get your point.

Oh well. Even a simple question can turn out to be not so simple.

Actually, it's the time to keep on building

In the first two months of 2026, BYD had already completed 4,239 stations. A further 2,000 highway stations are planned by year end, covering one-third of highway service areas and placing a flash charger every 100 km.

I can always count on you.

The Shanghai Sallys silly shilling of BYD shows they have never ridden in one.

Never mind your Desert kit's Donald Fire resistant jackets might be better as the Mad Mullah's have threatened to set fire to American servicemen.

Off topic maybe but I noticed some people referring to Trump's "handlers" and wondered how this would work. Trump doesn't go for a walk in the park to find a hollow rock with instructions. He can't use a White House phone as they are recorded.

Can anyone point out how these contacts can be evidence once he is out of office?

He knows what the rest of the world already knew. Americans are not the center of the universe and its true colours have now been shown. Silly cartoon show that unfortunately affects everyone. Any respect that was left is now at the bottom of the Straight of Hormuz.

Hey jingthing your informal poll is basically reflecting the polling results in the states!let’s just hope we can keep the lid on till we get some competency in the White House and both houses!!

The man would get his butt kicked if he was playing a game of checkers with one of the Three Stooges. This man is so dim it defies the imagination that he is in a position that he's currently in.

Although I believe his IQ is only in the high 80s, he does have one area of genius, and that is running the con, being a huckster, a grifter, and a fraudster. He is an absolutely genius when it comes to that, he can convince nearly anyone of nearly anything.

But as they say words are cheap, he very rarely means anything he says, the policies that he has implemented have gone way too far, he has betrayed the MAGA base with his overseas adventures which he promised not to get into, and he has exceeded his authority one time after another.

This time he is in way over his head with this war on Iran, they have completely out maneuvered him with the Strait of Hormuz, and the attacks on their neighbors, severely damaging the regional economy and inflicting untold damage on the world economy, including America where he promised to bring prices down, and has repeatedly failed to do so.

Trump gets a big F so far, he is a total failure, a complete moron, a swamp creature, and an incredibly destructive man with little understanding about anything related to geopolitics or history.

Wow, I see lots of presidential “analysts” or even top advisers. 😂🤣

Trump is focused on just two things, maintaining his Number 1 Grifter Grand Master title and either wrecking or naming everything in sight after himself--sometimes, such as the Kennedy Center, doing both.

He's having fun, he and his cronies are making billions in corrupt grifts, that's for sure.

But at what price to the vast majority of people in the world?

Will the Qataris still be gifting Trump a new plane after all the damage he has brought on their economy ?

The only plan the Liartollah Crybaby had for Iran was for the victory parade afterwards!

Completely off-topic but ....................

Now there's a word I haven't heard for 50+ years!

I saw 'A Clockwork Orange' in '71 or '72 during my first year at college. Haven't ever seen it a second time or even thought about it since then. Yet your mention of the word immediately brought it and the film to mind with no hesitation.

Is 'droogs' a word you often use?

Strange how the memory works and what's buried in there.

Well, he is certainly making money for himself and his friends. Does he care about the USA I doubt it.

Really? So you, with your firm grasp of reality dispute:

Tax refunds are very high and stimulate the economy.

We are energy self sufficient.

The economy is humming along.

Got it. Hey do you dispute the fact that misery is necessary for a revolution? Show us your grasp of history and reality.

The economy is humming along? Let me state the case for the defense.

Current data from this month suggests that the conflict with Iran and associated regional instability have introduced significant economic headwinds. Here are ten facts that highlight the current economic strain:

  • Surging Inflation: The OECD has revised its 2026 US inflation forecast upward to 4.2%, the highest among all G7 nations, primarily due to rising energy costs.

  • Stagnating Growth: US GDP growth is projected to slow to 2.0% in 2026 (down from previous estimates) and is expected to dip further to 1.7% in 2027.

  • Oil Price Spikes: Following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in early March, Brent Crude surged past $120 per barrel, directly increasing transport and manufacturing costs.

  • Petrol Pump Pressure: Despite domestic production, US motorists are seeing petrol prices rise by 5 to 10 cents per gallon daily as of mid-March.

  • Widening Deficits: Military engagement and a $1.5 trillion defense spending request have pushed the 2026 federal deficit to an estimated $1.9 trillion.

  • Record National Debt: Publicly held debt is forecasted to reach 101% of GDP in 2026, surpassing levels seen immediately after World War II.

  • Market Volatility: The Morningstar US Market Index fell roughly 4.2% in the first few weeks following the start of the conflict in late February.

  • Monetary Policy Stall: The Federal Reserve has been forced to delay planned interest rate cuts (shifting expectations from June to September) to combat "war-driven" inflation.

  • Supply Chain Disruption: The conflict has caused the largest disruption to the global oil market in history, affecting 20-25% of global supply and increasing the cost of imported goods.

  • Consumer Sentiment: National surveys indicate a "gloomy" outlook amongst the American public, driven by an affordability crisis and the rising cost of essentials like heating and groceries.

He knows what he doing l, nothing being said about the Epstein files now. His family also getting rich from weapons investments.

The good old Americans love him and have doo much money to give him.

Does he know what he's doing Yes! Absolutely.

BUT, what he's doing has nothing to do with Iran. He could not care less. American banks would not loan to him, The American rich look down on him, he was not accepted by his peers He's been a spoiled little rich brat his whole life. And when a little rich bats do when they get a chance they screw everybody. His goal is to destroy America. Watch what he's doing He's not just doing short-term damage he is doing long-term damage to the American image worldwide. Does he know what he's doing yes. is he doing what's best for America no. For all his grifting friends and want to be buddies trying to grab everything they can aware? do they care No.

he's out of touch with reality and his daily flip-flops about any of his actions support such senile dementia, he started a war with Iran based on a "feeling" that Iran was going to attack the US, that the war appears to be the least of his worries as his main concern is the construction of his ball room

Gas skyrocketing, bombs dropping, our standing in the world in tatters, taxpayer dollars up in flames — meanwhile this oligarch dictator wanna-be brags about his new ballroom and the “Corinthian” columns

the world is on fire there’s an affordability crisis that’s about to explode and this is what this moron is excited about. and ik his stupid cult will eat this **** up. idiots.

You get to speak your mind as long as you praise Trump. If you criticize him, then it is a different story.

The west turn his back to Trump, so the US (definitely not WE) doesn't run anything other than their own country into the ground.

And you want to claim you pay for the planes, while having the need to live in Third World countries? That was a good laugh, I doubt you pay any significant amount of taxes in the US. More likely that you are living on social benefits. Socialist when it suits you, extreme right on the other days

Facts. But let the Americans live in the own bubble. If they haven't yet realised that the rest of the world has been turning their back on them with Trump running their own country to the ground, then they can't be helped.

And they are delusional enough to think they're running the world. It's a reason why NATO won't come to the US' rescue in this war. We don't want any part of it, and as little to do with Trump as possible.
