What's bizarre is that there is a demented pedo rapist in the WH. THAT is what is bizarre.

You've started a thread with a rant with no context, no links to anything, no information about what was censored. I genuinely have no idea what you are talking about. If you want people to join in

I'm guessing it was the "landslide" and "honest" that could cause it to be taken down.

As has been posted by people on both sides of the political spectrum. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences of said speech.

Well, there is also a great deal of hypocrisy involved on both sides. Not so long ago, right wingers were complaining that their speech on campus was being censored due to wokeness. And they had a good point. But they supported the suppression of anti-israeli speech. And not just by administrators of institutes of higher education, but by the government as well. Which is a clear violation of the 1st Amendment.

Fact check - grossly misleading(as usual)

Shouting "river to the sea" is barely disguised code for wishing genocide on a group of people.

Slightly different from the political censorship alluded to in the OP.

Does Alan feel the need to have conservatives handicapped and censored (up to and including the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES) on a political discussion forum?

I got news for you. Even genocidal speech is protected by the First Amendment. As Charlie Kirk noted, the First Amendment doesn't recognize a category of speech called hate speech.

When Nazis Came to Illinois: The History of the Skokie Case

In 1977, Skokie, Illinois was home to around 40,500 Jews, thousands of whom were Holocaust survivors. Then, the National Socialist Party of America, a group of self-styled Nazis planned a march. In March of that year, the group requested a permit to march through the village, and were sued by Skokie to prevent it. The American Civil Liberties Union decided, controversially, to represent the Nazis on the basis of free speech, and the case eventually went to the United States Supreme Court, who ruled they should be allowed to march due to free speech concerns.

Again, this is a private venue. The mods have every right to censor speech here. I suspect that they don't want this venue to turn into something like X. And given that this is Thailand, not America, the First Amendment isn't applicable here.

I am all for gagging Trump, because every time he opens his fat gob, something else gets scewed up.

Do members find it a sign of a mature political discussion platform, when the sitting US President's own legal words and writings are censored(as an eg. His Bruce Springsteen tweet yesterday) so as not to offend people of the left?

I find this very concerning, and struggle to understand how this can happen in 2026.

Presumably posters of the left applaud censorship of the US President, while simultaneously claiming to be proud of the "free speech" we enjoy - like sir Kier recently lied about?

Your own content falls far short of qualifying as mature political discussion.......it invariably amounts to no more than ill-tempered jibes at the amorphous "left".......ie anyone who isn't MAGA.

Your contribution in this case a classic example.........you really have nothing worthwhile to say and you say that over and over again.

Get up to a basic level of maurity and insight yourself and you may earn the minimum amount of respect required to be taken seriously.

At present you have made of yourself no more than a ludicrous, predictable, low brow "Aunt Sally".

Rosie O'Donnell (who criminal Trump is trying to illegally strip of her U.S. citizenship) coined a great new nickname for it.

If you feel the need to attack Trump, why rely on the words of dishonest blowhard like rosie? It is self defeating. There is a robust library of commentary from erudite people that you can use.

"who looks like a dried up prune"

Trump should invite him (Springsteen) to dinner. A prune and an orange together.

Fruit, dried or fresh, almost certainly have not featured on a White House dining table for some considerable time now!

Happy Easter!

I don't think it is.

For example, if you make public statements that cause embarrassment to your employer you can be terminated.

Freedom of speech guaranteed in the first amendment refers to government restriction on free speech. No guarantee that there will not be consequences.

Even dishonest blowhards can come up with a good line once in a while. For example, the current POTUS.

So the premise of all this is if President Trump can use the XYZ term and acronym, why is it deleted when it appears on here.

Do you think that maybe President Trump is thinking of abandoning Truth Social for as a yet-to-be-named forum located somewhere in SE Asia? And that maybe under the guise of a pseudonym he's already trying to change the rules? That maybe right now in his mind he's glaring at the moderators?

Because the political side that hurl insulting acronyms like TACO all day long are givers not takers?

Because we are not mature enough to read the Presidents words?

Cant think of any other possibilities. But interesting not a single leftie finds such indefensible censorship inappropriate. Says it all.

Who is censoring the Epstein files?

If memory serves your Biden/Garland DOJ released exactly zero files. The Trump/Bondi admin released millions.

Which has exactly zero to do with why the forum left are too immature to cope with the US presidents words and need to be sheltered from them.

Why read or listen to what you know are going to be a bunch of lies that might just have a grain of truth interspersed among them?

It does not matter what Garland did or didn't do. Trumps DOJ has been conducting a massive coverup for over a year and lying about it the whole time.

A possibility for the reasoning on here is that 'syndrome' indicates a medical condition.

You still haven't told us what was censored or where. Some of us don't spend our lives on here reading every single thread. Maybe no "leftie" has commented because they have no idea what you are on about? I certainly have no idea.

I know what it means.

You clearly don't.

An oxymoron contains two contradictory terms.

"Freedom of speech" does not.

Examples would be an "educated ignoramus" or a "wise fool".

Freedom of speech is not an oxymoron, as has been observed by others here.

Doubling down when you are wrong is not a sign of strong character,

it is just foolish.

Not cool. Certainly not appropriate for a President. These outbursts are totally crazy, he needs to get a grip, and fast.

Far more entertaining to watch Trump then the clowns before him like Obohama or Biden and their cronies. But it's not about Trump or not. It's just how America (or the UK sometimes) have always been. It's just the way of saying it, that is more entertaining with Trump.
