Who is the 'left' in your mind? What criteria have you applied to determine that I am the 'left'? Anyone who doesn't swallow the Trump administration's words, hook, line and sinker? Would it not be sensible to look at the bigger picture? I would think the 'slow learner' is the one who obtains their information from a single source. I listen to everyone and draw my own conclusions. How about yourself?

Yes I know this now. Everything bad under the previous admin was Trump fault. Biden' handlers never made a bad decision.

Btw didn't Biden leave some planes & weapons in Afghanistan when they fled screaming because abandoning them was cheaper than flying them a few miles to safety? Trumps fault again, my bad.

Well, Juana, it's important to note that it was the Trump administration that signed this peace deal that was basically a quick exit plan. It called for all U.S. troops to be out by May 2021. Then, after the election, Trump reduced the American troops from 5,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban did not live up to the agreement, including talking to the Afghan government. And one of his aides then went to the Pentagon and said all troops out by January 15, just five days before Biden was to be inaugurated. Pentagon officials balked and said it can't possibly be done that quickly.

Lots of analysis now being presented that this ‘pilot rescue’ was not at all what it was presented to be.

yeah all this when Trump is well known for his "dislike" of captured downed pilots from the VN era. Fortunately the "hundreds" of military involved in the search and rescue is what is expected by down airmen as we never want to leave one behind. I a fellow airman in VN knew this well though we did not go deep into North Vietnam to rescue downed pilots. The helicopter pilots though did go into the jungles with ground air support for downed pilots. Costly rescue but well worth it for that colonel and his family!

We’ve reached to point at which statements made by the White House carry us much credibility as those issued by the Iranian regime.

That hasn’t come about out of any improvement on the part of the Iranian regime.
