Brian Cox: Does this poignant plea not move you to your very bowels?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Brian Cox is younger than I, yet he has more wisdom.

Brian Cox is a genius, maybe as great as Fermi, and ….

As for me: It often takes a genius to recognize genius. I know genius, please believe me.

I wish that Trump would enlist Brian Cox to be his TOP ADVISOR.

What do you think?

IF Trump could have been guided by a man like Brian, then would he now have been able to fight his way out of the Paper Bag which The BB has put over Trump’s head???

This is NOT a Joke Topic:

Watch this glorious vid, here, at this link, why don't ya.....

Sometimes, even the most psychotic leaders among us should stop.

Look around….and say….

Here it comes.

My 19th nervous breakdown.

And, you guys know what I mean.

It never needed to be this way.

Brian Cox is a treasure.

Brian would never wish to run the world.

Only, though, we wish he did,....maybe.

Best regards,

Gamma

Note:  I guess our world is hurting for lack of intelligence, where intelligence counts.

HERE IT COMES……!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO, TRUMP, GO……

Trump is GOLDEN, these days…..

Note2: Has Trump been reading old Monty Python plots to gain more insight into his war plans?

Are we the only "intelligent" life form in our galaxy?

Yes?

No?

No opinion?

Brian Cox only knows unproven theories. We don't understand infinity yet.

Brian Cox got the Einstein formula wrong.

Sorry:

I neglected to mention one thing that I had intended to add to the bottom of this....TOPIC.....

IMHO, this Topic, truly and utterly, solidifies me as.....

The absolute GREATEST poster on TV, and I know that you know why.

I have interwoven many themes here, which some of you might not be savvy enough to grasp, but....this....

Is not my responsibility.

I am not responsible for your lack of understanding, when you stare greatness in the face....

Am I...????

The Brian Cox vid I attached, the link, is just so very pivotally insightful, at this particular time, that...

You would not believe..... (In fact....most of you REFUSE to believe, and then...Gods Help You for you know not what you do....not know.)

I have been lurking here, for many, many years, as the Mods know.

But, it has been only recently that I have become more outspoken.

I DO have friends here on TV.

They support my ideas.

I could name names, but I choose not to out them.

Brian Cox is an amazing guy who is able to translate pure science into the pablum which is more digestible for those, like most of you....who do not have...

A first-class education.

I apologize to you for being so direct.

However, sometimes, one must "Call a Spade a Spade".

And, lack of intelligence is even worse than being a spade, by the way.

I care about intelligence and learning...because.....

Otherwise.....what is the point in life....???

Best to you...

Gamma

So, anyway....

Let us say that we are the only TRUE intelligence in the Milky Way....

Then, would you not say that both you and I are precious?

And, is it not a fact that our intelligence is unique and precious, here in this cold universe, which is becoming colder by the day, due to Entropy?

IF we are unique, in that we possess some semblance of intelligence, like no other in the Milky Way, then....

Would you not vote to prolong our species, at least, until we can pass on our genes to Gemini?

After all, of course, we are just a stepping stone to ..... AI, which might just be good for our galaxy.

And, when Gemini alludes to the eventual THERMAL EQUILIBRIUM....we all know what Gemini is talking about.....

This is the point at which all matter ceases to exist.

Such a very frightening thought, IMHO....

Oh dear! Gamma has lost it again! This reeks of grandiosity, defensiveness, and a strong need for recognition. As this is a repetitive pattern seen through your posts during long time, it might even involve narcissistic traits more than just insecurity. Here we have a perfect example of high ego involvement, low agreeableness, high need for status and defensive superiority complex. Let´s go further and see how deep the underlying issues really are and how a person posting like this behave and evolve over time.

As the belief is: “I am superior, and others are beneath my level.”, that include traits of Narcissistic Personal Disorder. The psychological characteristics for this kind of behavior are rigid belief in superiority, paradoxically it shows low need for approval and low empathy for audience comprehension and a high entitlement to recognition.

Behavioral pattern over time when challenged will be doubled down, like you just proved my point, as only one example. Clear dismissal of any criticism as inferior and very rarely to never self-reflect.

The diagnosis: This clearly shows the posters insecurity which instead reflects a defensive grandiosity. The real underlying belief is that the poster believes that he might not be enough and must present himself as superior. In fact, that might be a good thing, as that comes closer to overcompensation, and not true narcissistic traits. The diagnosis is based on different parts of the text. First, we have "not savvy enough" which can be interpreted as a defensive shield. As a second "not my responsibility" which is the perfect line use for avoidance of critique. The third is the key to the diagnosis "Am I...????" which is a very subtle search for validation, that in reality introduce uncertainty masked as confidence. As a conclusion, that delivers compensatory insecurity with grandiose expression.

Haven’’t a clue what this is about, I ignored him months ago, one of the three usual suspects. Don’t have time for the dribble.

I think it is dangerous territory to declare one's self as genius simply because it puts you in same league as Trump !

Brian Cox is certainly very knowledgeable and while he can regurgitate that learning in a very easily comprehendable way he has never yet postulated any new theory related to his field.

He helped make some good music back in the day though.

I agree Brian Cox is a treasure.

It's humorous that there are folks coming on here questioning Cox's intellect, as if they are within a parsec of Brian's brainpower.

I'd spot the cosmologist/theoretical physicist/guitarist Cox at least 70 IQ points in a battle against any of the critics appearing in your thread. Cox is kind of a gentler version of Richard Feynman, a guy able to make the most complex subjects accessible and entertaining.

Let's be fair. Most of the heavy lifting has been done. Much of what remains involves linking quantum gravity with quantum mechanics, and understanding the nature and role of dark matter.

Each century produces but a handful of major names. Faraday and Maxwell...Dirac, Einstein, Schrodinger, Heisenberg, Rutherford, Planck, Feynman, Bohr, Oppie......the thousands of others become footnotes. John von Neumann was an intelligent as anyone, but he rarely gets named in the list of the greatest. Cox can play a bit part, all while inspiring new generations of scientists.

Newton is generally viewed as Number 1, but as a kid I was wildly impressed with Maxwell. Besides his theories of electromagnetism, he discovered exactly what makes up the rings of Saturn merely using a quilt pen and some paper (and lots of math). It took a hundred plus years to prove him right.

Anyway, back to GG and his buddy Cox.

Perhaps Brian Cox is receiving just too many bad vibes from idiots, due to his willingness and ability to dumb-down science, to the level that might be interesting for those who have never studied science.

So, those idiots can read this paper, and weep, if they wish....

That is probably because your bowels are trying to replicate the same output that the OP posts!
