Besides creating supply chain issues it also caused many brick and mortar businesses to close shop because people were afraid to go shopping and eating out. As a result people resorted to online shopping and home delivery. I would say that much of the increase in inflation was the result of Covid. Biden deficits were 5.4% of gdp or higher. Trump had it below 4% twice. So it was part covid and part Biden being a fool.
