Foreign Nationals Spray Graffiti on Pattaya Shop, CCTV Captures Act

Featured Replies

CCTV footage has captured two foreign nationals spraying graffiti on a shop in Pattaya, causing damage to private property. The incident occurred at 02:23 on 12 April 2026 outside a pet food shop on Pattaya Third Road near Soi Chalermprakiat 21. The act left a large graffiti marking reading “LAUPS” on the shop’s metal roller door, with paint also seeping inside and damaging internal glass.

According to CCTV recordings, the two men approached the front of the shop together. One, wearing a white shirt and carrying a bag containing spray paint cans, carried out the vandalism while the other, dressed in black, acted as a lookout. The graffiti was completed in approximately six minutes before both individuals fled the scene.

At the site, the metal shutter was found defaced with a large graffiti design, while some paint had penetrated through gaps in the door, causing further damage. The shop owner, 41-year-old Methee Chawna, said the issue was discovered by staff in the morning, who alerted him to the damage. He acknowledged that while graffiti can be considered a form of art, such actions directly harm the property of others.

The owner has since filed a report with police as evidence and has requested that authorities track down those responsible for legal action. Local residents have expressed concern that incidents of this nature could affect public order and the image of the area, if not properly controlled or prevented.

Authorities are expected to review CCTV footage and continue efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects. Further updates will depend on the progress of the investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings.

I'm with the Arabs on this one.

Left hand chop chop !;

Maybe right hand !

We should all strive to recognize and value art in every form and from all sources, as it enriches our lives in countless ways.

At the very least, they should be made to pay for a new shutter for the shop. And maybe pay a fine and do a little jail time as well.

One man's "art" ends where another man's property begins. If he insists on defacing something, it should be his own property.

I hope law enforcement apprehends these individuals. Who travels abroad to commit vandalism?

It only took 6 minutes for the tag. Not their first rodeo.

Betcha a paint job would suffice.

I hardly think these guys were trying to make people aware that LAUPS permutations can provide insights into the genetic characteristics and regulatory mechanisms involved in cancer development and progression!

Beware anyone who wears a baseball cap backwards. A few bricks shy of a load.

Painting is work. Do they have a work permit?

No. Then send them home ; forthwith.

Just specify one of the "countless ways" in which this graffiti "enriches our lives".

Or, even worse, sideways!

people who have criminal proclivities back home

Let's travel 1,000's of miles to Pattaya in Thailand. I've heard the nightlife and hookers are amazing.

That sounds boring. Let's go there and buy some paint spray and deface someone's property with our "tag".

Cool!

S**t! The police are looking for us.

I'm sure they'll be caught soon. The video is too good.

Not talking Banksy here , just pathetic graffiti by two nobs

People from western countries where there are no consequences and people make excuses for their antisocial acts.

The sleeve tattoo won't help in concealing one's identity.

And the sentry goober with the ski hat in Thailand. A heat stroke would fix him.

More and more born losers! Deport!

They can't be very bright if they don't know that there are cameras everywhere recording what they do.

Should something be tattooed on their faces before they are deported? Something 'nice' designed by the shopkeeper? It'd only be 'art' of course...

I'd give the <deleted>s a toothbrush and make them scrub it off until not one speck of paint remains. They will not go to their hotel, eat or drink until it is spotless, then deport the <deleted>s.

I love art probably more than the average person and my Pattaya home has 25 or more art pieces and sculptures, several quite large, and with more at my Bangkok condo. I love looking at art, collecting art, and having it around me.

Graffiti has no value to me and in no way does it 'enrich' my life. It is destruction of property, plain and simple. Rather than enriching life, it is depressing to look at and only shows the deterioration of civilized life, the deterioration of values, the deterioration of right and wrong. It goes hand in hand with shoplifting somehow now becoming ok by law enforcement if it is less than a certain dollar amount. No, it's not ok, it's stealing. Both out-of-control shoplifting and out-of-control graffiti contribute to a diminished society.

Pity poor Paris. Graffiti covers so much of the city now, utterly spoiing it. When the tv show 'Emily in Paris' shoots Paris city scenes, they have to employ digital techniques to 'clean up' all the graffiti in the scenes. If graffiti is such a wonderful, enriching art form, why does it need to be edited out, I wonder.

If I wake up tomorrow and decide I am an artist and my art technique is taking a sledgehammer, without permission, to parked cars and creating new art shapes in the sheet metal, is everyone going to be ok with that? Can I start enriching your life in countless ways wth your car?

As others have said, if one wants to perform what they view as art, do it on their own property, not property owned by others and without their permission. These two law-breaking deadbeats need to be found, fined, made to repair the damage they caused, jailed for 30 days, deported, and banned from Thailand for life.

There are art galleries where you can visit art displays .

Your sort should all stick together in the poor part of town and keep vandalism to yourselves and area .

The rest of us don't want to see it
