Tough love, baby. Going to be ticker tape material, completely destroy the enemy with virtually no casualties

"Going to be ticker tape material..."

Heck, yes! If there's anything Americans are in the mood for right now it's certainly a ticker tape parade in honour of Trump.....making everything going to s**t?

With the US sailors hard at work blockading the blockade, it's comforting to know they can rely on a steady stream of hearty meals.

Anyway, the already defeated Iranians have until Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday........whenever, to come to the negotiating table and acknowledge that fact and make arrangements for them receiving billions of $, while being allowed to continue their nuclear programme with no oversight.

Now, that should teach them a lesson!!

Faker than fake. The mess tray pics are credited to a Gerald Givens Jr, USAF Retired.

So by that, evidently Givens us not a serving officer of any ships crew.

It also appears that he was not an officer, either.

Dumber than dumb. From the linked article in the OP:

Gerald D. Givens Jr. is a retired member of the U.S. Air Force and the founder and CEO of Raleigh Boots On The Ground, a nonprofit that supports military families. Givens has been vocal about his disapproval of President Donald Trump and U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. In the past week, he received the pictures from a friend of his, whose son is currently serving on board the ship in the Middle East.*

Yeah, a Trump hater claiming he has a "friend" that sent it to him and the left runs with it like it's fact.

Not even a friend, a friend's son, name withheld of course.

Well then the credits are fake too.

Sounds like more fakery now. My friends son's pet beaver sent me some snaps of the new dam.

Somehow, I doubt the USN will be allowing any form of imagery freely off the Lincoln for the time being.

And if they were, and sailors were starving, we'd be seeing a lot more.

I know I am at odds with most here, but I do not think Iran should have been permitted to continue developing their nuclear warhead and intercontinental ballistic missile program, and I am happy they have been taken to task for it.

The American people I'm sure are Not aware that the Mullah that was killed when America declared war on Iran had issued a 'Fatwah' that declared that Iran would NOT develop a nuclear bomb. That means a helluva lot more than some so called 'Agreement'.

That dumarse Trump is now trying to renegotiate the same treaty that he tore up when he first took office just because it was negotiated by Obama.

The Americans I know were aware that the mullah issued that "Fatwah", but it did not fool any of them.

The Americans I know also knew the US never entered into a treaty with the US, that is just a lie the Trump obsessed haters keep regurgitating here.

You calling anyone a dumba** is pretty rich.

America lost - speak it softly and pass it on in the world cup of public opinion. Shame about the cancer rejecting Netanhayu though but fully understandable who would want to live in that ?

Here you go chucking out Nazi jibes - but I'm afraid under Godwin's Law you have lost the argument. Them's the rules and as a commie I would probably have been in the camps long before you caught up if you hadn't fled before then. Nice try though - the day I care one fig for Netanhayu is the day I kill myself. Ain't happening.

Criminals were marked with green inverted triangles, political prisoners with red, "asocials" (including Roma, nonconformists, vagrants, and other groups) with black or—in the case of Roma in some camps—brown triangles.

A few facts are getting mixed together here.

First, the “fatwa” argument is not as airtight as you’re making it sound. Iran has claimed Khamenei issued a religious ruling against nuclear weapons, but there has always been dispute over what it actually covers, whether it bars production or only use, and whether it could be changed later. A fatwa is not a verification regime.

Second, the Obama JCPOA was not a permanent solution. It had sunset clauses. Some restrictions were designed to expire over time, including major restrictions tied to 10-, 15-, 20-, and 25-year timelines. So the criticism was not simply “Obama made it, therefore Trump hated it.” The criticism was that the deal delayed parts of the problem while leaving Iran with a path to expand later.

Third, yes, Trump withdrew from the JCPOA in 2018 and tried to get a stronger deal. You can argue whether that strategy worked, but it is not accurate to pretend the original deal was permanent or foolproof.

Also, Iran’s pattern matters. The regime has a long history of using negotiations for sanctions relief, time, and leverage, while pushing the limits whenever it benefits them. That is exactly why an unverifiable religious promise should not be treated as more meaningful than inspections, enforcement, and real consequences.

So no, I would not put much weight on “they had a fatwa.” The issue is not what Iran says. The issue is what Iran does, what inspectors can verify, and what happens when Iran violates the limits.

Iran 1 USA 0

Iran 1, USA 0? Interesting scoreboard.

Iran got hit, isolated, sanctioned, and exposed — but somehow that’s a win because someone posted a slogan online?

Sorry that’s not a victory, that’s propaganda with a halftime whistle.

You must have missed the Lego movies they tell quite a different story.

If your argument is ‘Lego movies,’ I think that kind of proves my point about the scoreboard comment.

what exactly did Iran ‘win’?

Firstly, if you haven’t seen the 'Lego Iran' movies, you really should. They are a brilliant example of 21st-century, state-adjacent propaganda remodelled for the internet and meme age. Let's not forget Trump rose to power on that same sea of rubbish.

Secondly, however puerile they may be (and they are), they are still a step up from the rubbish emanating from the White House. That is where we are. I made the point humorously, but the serious point behind my remark reflects that reality.

The Iranian regime survived and has probably hardened by removing the top layer of long-serving Revolutionary Guards. It is always the 'Colonel class' that has the hunger and vitality to carry forward a more aggressive, outward-facing resistance to Israeli/US aggression. And here we are in a place that should have been left well alone. With Lego. Welcomne to the Dark Ages turns out that progressive liberalism isn't a striaght line graph to enlightenment - we gonna be burning witches soon - just be careful with what cat you get.

Wrong. Talks were never on, per the Iranians. You see, you can't "off" something that was never "on".
