Iran has reportedly caused billions of dollars in damage to U.S. military assets and bases in the Gulf region, sparking questions about the Trump administration’s transparency regarding potential costs for repairs.

Six people familiar with the damage said runways, high-end radar systems, dozens of aircraft, warehouses, command headquarters, aircraft hangars and satellite communications infrastructure were struck by Iranian forces in an interview with NBC News.

The destruction spans across several countries in the Middle East and could cost up to $5 billion to repair.

The projected price tag does not include fixes to radar systems, weapons systems, aircraft and other equipment that were either impaired or rendered unsalvageable as a result of Iranian strikes, the outlet reported.

Initial damage was caused to U.S. base Camp Buehring in Kuwait by an Iranian F-5 fighter jet within the first few days of the war, which began Feb. 28 with a series of U.S.-Israeli strikes.

There is a tacit acknowledgement that Iran must be left alone; 'mowing the lawn' repeatedly is no longer sustainable without triggering a global economic backlash. Simultaneously, US support for Israel appears to have reached its breaking point.

Well, I know the left is doing all it can to shore up Iran and destroy Israel, so you may be right. (as in correct)

Maybe already posted..

The middle eastern airlines (Emirates and Etihad) have been flying throughout the 'truce'. But I wonder if the passengers are those who had booked before the war. Can't imagine anyone taking a chance to book, like next week, etc.

This is a totally unecessary war strated by Israel/Trump all the bad decisons flow out of that. That is where the blame lies. Squarely and firmly and the world is suffering as a result. Thanks.

The left would love for Iran to shoot down an airliner so they could blame Trump.

I don't understand why members are posting anymore on this thread you will not a constructive chat or argument from these 2 yellow Avaters. Anything you say they will ignore and ridicule you as long as they keep hammering the MAGA propaganda down your throats they will not stop. All your doing is giving the Bullets.

Exactly. They know they're effed, so the "debating" style is to completely ignore facts presented to them while posting gaslighting and smoke blowing gibberish.

Pretty pathetic, but enjoyable to watch all the same.thumbsup

And that my fellow fiends is as close to a MAGA saying we lost as you are likely to find. Brought down by some mediaeval muslims that beleive in nonsense and hang gays from cranes.

True. The MAGA histrionics are reaching new levels, but I guess that's a natural reaction to seeing the GOP support completely tank and the MAGA infighting getting worse.

Someone lies and posts an article that does not support their lie, and then when you point out their lie, some other frequent liar calls you a liar.

Oh, the pearl-clutching irony, it is to laugh!

Trump - your mate- not that he knows you lives and dies by the stock market price and gas prices. You must try harder.

More lies from you. Trump is not my "mate", and I do not live and die by the stock market and gas prices. I like the market to be high, and gas to be low, but it's just not that important to me in the scheme of things.

You on the other had were howling about the price of oil going up a bit and seemed compelled to lie about how significant the move was.

Go with God brother, I hope you have a great time.

I'm going to see my brother and sisters in July if the US has not surrendered to Iran before that.

More amazing considering these guys used to be all about combatting "disinformation" and demanding any posters be removed from discussion for posting "disinformation". Yet here they are just making stuff up left, right and center. Shocking😅

And just remember the narrative we were being fed - regime would fall , total air superiority and military capability of the mighty US/Isarel - Trump trumpeting that the battle had already been won. It's this hubris at the end of empires that is their downfall. In the coming decades Isarel may well come to regret taking mandated Palestine rather than some colonial throwaway like Mauritius where the grass had been mown already and like the Chinese in Singapore would have made a sucess. I shall join Trump in qouting scripture.

Actually on considertaion a US state like Utah for the Mormons might have been a better choice and left Palestine well alone.

2 Samuel 1:19–27

19 The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!

20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

21 Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.

22 From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.

23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.

24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.

25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.

Well yeah, I would.

And lots of other people are too. My flights were both pretty full, and there were two Etihad flights leaving from Bangkok within five minutes of each other.

What I remember, is that it was not about regime change, but the left wants to make is about that because it they think they can hurt Trump with it.

Regime change was not one of the four objectives published by the White House at the beginning of the war.

It is concerns me the way the left seems to be doing all they can to prop up Iran and destroy Israel.
