It is also possible, they would have contributed more.

All of the matters you raise are questions of fact. There is a billion dollars on the line. Do you think big donors want to lose that money to the Feds?

Maybe what is on the line is

10. Between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC secretly funneled more than $3 million in SPLC funds to Fs who were associated with various violent extremist groups.

As in B. (Forfeiture) any property, real or personal, which represents or is traceable to the gross receipts obtained, directly or indirectly, from the offenses in violation

of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1343.

NB And if you read the comments of Acting AG Blanche I posted on previous page re "transparency" 1343 might not hold up.

The forfeiture is on the billion, or that part that was raised as a result of the fraud. Its a corporate crime, plea and settle and keep some cash.

I'll stick with what I posted above but it is moot point until there is a conviction on the 1343.

LOL, I dont know what was presented to the grand jury, I dont know if there is a superseding indictment for persons inbound, I dont know what the loons they were paying have been saying to the Feds, all I have is the indictment which factually in and of itself can have a reasonable inference attached thereto.

Why are you defending these long time Socialist operatives btw?

LOL. Got it. A conspiracy theory with no facts vs a theory (only to do with the SPLC) with factual allegations.

Enjoy your knee jerk life LOL.

A reasonable inference? An investigation yields no charges that anyone was paid to commit criminal Acts, and you think that's a reasonable inference? You think the prosecution wouldn't have more charges if they can make such a case? Given the failures of previous prosecutions with the political angle, I think it's former reasonable that the prosecution, like you, has nothing

Just to note in the NY Post link above wherein is the source for the word 'smear':

What to know about the Trump Justice Department’s case against the Southern Poverty Law Center

The 14-page indictment, however, offered few details of how donor money that paid the informants was used to further the groups’ violent interests, or if donors felt blindsided by what their money was spent on – a glaring omission that legal experts say could spell trouble for prosecutors as they seek to secure a conviction.

Because the organization has long made public its mission of dismantling extremist groups, it’s “preposterous” for the government to argue that any donor who’s given money to SPLC didn’t know what those funds were being used for and didn’t support their money being used to pay informants, said retired federal Judge Nancy Gertner.

“Everyone understood the way they function and why they function and how that was part of the mission,” Gertner said. “So it is a curious indictment.”

March 7, 2023

A lawyer for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was arrested and charged with domestic terrorism over the violence Sunday during protests of a planned training facility for police officers in Atlanta, the SPLC has confirmed.

"An employee at the SPLC was arrested while acting — and identifying — as a legal observer on behalf of the National Lawyers Guild (NLG). The employee is an experienced legal observer, and their arrest is not evidence of any crime, but of heavy-handed law enforcement intervention against protesters," the SPLC said in a statement on Monday.

Two-year attempt to prosecute opponents of police training center on criminal conspiracy charges ends in failure

Sat 13 Sep 2025

Georgia prosecutors are facing what one expert called “probably the highest-profile failure of using conspiracy charges to indict a protest movement” in US history, after a two-year attempt to prosecute a criminal conspiracy in connection with opposition to the police training center known as Cop City.

Fulton county superior court judge Kevin Farmer announced his decision to dismiss charges against the case’s 61 defendants during hearings on a handful of defense attorney motions.

So you're telling the class that the grand jury did NOT find sufficient evidence for probable cause ? Really ? Where'd you go to school ?

A Grand Jury only considers what the prosecution presents. The rules of evidence are not the same as at a trial. The Grand Jury does not consider the admissibility, nor reliability of evidence presented. There is no defense present to question the case and witness statements are not cross examined. Discovery does not occur until an indictment is returned, so the evidence presented to the Grand Jury is only questioned after the fact. Although the DOJ has a high conviction rate for federal indictments concerning drugs, firearms, and racketeering, it doesn't do so well on charges of fraud, tax evasion and politically motivated charges. This is reportedly a politically motivated undertaking.

Report buried Trump-related ‘hate crimes’ against white kids

More heinous SPLC scandal stuff .It reminds me how selective the leftist News can get when it don't fit their narratives.

"The Southern Poverty Law Center partnered with the American Federation of Teachers".

"At least 2,000 educators around the country reported racist slurs and other derogatory language leveled against white students in the first days after Donald Trump was elected president. But the group that surveyed the teachers didn’t publish the results in its report on Trump-related “hate crimes.”

The report and NY Post article from 12 DECEMBER 2016.

Cultural Marxist shy away from reporting on all the identity politics unless it involves the oppressed.

"The SPLC’s widely cited report — “The Trump Effect: The Impact of the 2016 Presidential Election on Our Nation’s Schools” — reported that 40 percent of the more than 10,000 educators who responded to the survey “have heard derogatory language directed at students of color, Muslims, immigrants and people based on gender or sexual orientation.”

From The SPLC indictment INTRODUCTION:

The SPLC also had a field source who was a member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 "Unite the Right" event in Charlottesville, Virginia. That field source made racist postings under the supervision of the SPLC and helped coordinate transportation to the event for several attendees.

From Wikipedia:

James Alex Fields Jr was convicted in a state court of the first-degree murder of 32-year-old Heather Heyer, eight counts of malicious wounding, and hit and run. He also pled guilty to 29 of 30 federal hate crime charges to avoid the death penalty. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 419 years for the state charges, with an additional life sentence for the federal charges.

Based on available records, James Alex Fields Jr. was not identified as part of the core planning group for the 2017 "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville.

Role as an Attendee: Fields, a neo-Nazi from Ohio, traveled to Virginia to attend the rally, but he was not listed as a primary organizer or part of the leadership team.

Main Organizers: The rally was primarily organized by white supremacist Jason Kessler, with involvement from groups like The Daily Stormer, The Right Stuff, and the Nationalist F

Background: Fields was a participant in the rally who, after it was declared an unlawful assembly, used his car to commit a terrorist attack against counter-protesters.

More importantly, it again shows the duplicity of the Democrats

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2026/04/24/charlottesville_the_deceit_underlying_the_hoax_154063.html

"This entire sad saga matters. First, it unveils the systemic duplicity of the left in America. Because their demand for “hate” far exceeds the actual supply, they had to pay to manufacture bigotry, so that they then could oppose it. Second, the record reveals that lies build upon lies, while the truth remains, inherently, emancipating.

Whatever any citizen thinks of Donald Trump, the entire madness of Charlottesville represents a preventable and despicable tragedy. The actions of the SPLC were criminal and mafia-like. A young woman, Heather Heyer, lost her life because of this mayhem. More broadly, millions of Americans bought into an insidious lie and believed it for years, doing grave damage to the cohesion of our society. Only a full accounting, now, can begin the process of healing and truth-telling."

The Onion being peeled to expose SPLC as another violent offspring of the far left NGO's. Imagine $millions going toward the groups they have opposed.

Conspiracy theory's are being debunked with years of historical evidence.

From the source:

"A grand jury in the Middle District of Alabama returned an 11-count indictment charging the SPLC with six counts of wire fraud, four counts of bank fraud, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, according to the Justice Department (DOJ). Between 2014 and 2023, according to the DOJ, the SPLC "secretly funneled" more than $3 million in donations to at least eight individuals associated with violent extremist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, United Klans of America, the Nationalist Socialist Movement, Unite the Right, Aryan Nations affiliated Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club, and more".

In other news, once upon a time, America sold weapons to Iran, to the mujahideen in Afghanistan and supported the Palestinian Authority. Why is anyone surprised that they occasionally feed their "domestic enemies"?

So this guy is now saying, if not solely for the involvement and duplicity of SPLC. this entire event was 'preventable' would not have happened.

From the linked article:

But it now turns out that the “Unite the Right” rally was organized and financed by the highly partisan, left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center.

From AI Gemini:

Undercover agents and officers sometimes participate in questionable, deceptive, or illegal activities to maintain their cover and avoid exposure, a practice often referred to as "authorized criminality". To build trust with suspects and avoid being discovered, they may need to bolster their undercover identity by appearing to participate in criminal acts.

According to a federal indictment announced in April 2026, the last undercover payments made by the SPLC through their "field source" program occurred in 2023 so maybe you missed your chance.
