The Walls Are Closing In

Featured Replies

Getting back to the actual federal indictment of the SPLC, the charged statute is 18 USC 1343 and any other charge only follows if the 1343 results in a conviction.

The statute basically says that funds were raised by deceiving the donors. Usually that is not a big deal as with the case like Bannon's "We Build The Wall" where the funds raised ended up in significant amounts in the founders' pockets.

As noted in comments above, especially in that of the former judge, that might not be so easy in this case.

REDUX:

Because the organization has long made public its mission of dismantling extremist groups, it’s “preposterous” for the government to argue that any donor who’s given money to SPLC didn’t know what those funds were being used for and didn’t support their money being used to pay informants, said retired federal Judge Nancy Gertner.

“Everyone understood the way they function and why they function and how that was part of the mission,” Gertner said. “So it is a curious indictment.”

So the DoJ is saying that the donors' position is that:

Gee -- if we had only known that the SPLC was using our monies to fund undercover operations, we would have NEVER made the donation or donated as much.

Maybe it was shut down for the same reason that Trump DOJ indictments with a political angle eventually get thrown out of court. The charges are trumped up.

I stand corrected. This is the same honorable gentleman who attended a dinner in honor of Trump that was hosted by the Ellisons who still need acquisition approval from an agency under the authority of the acting Attorney General.

When I read that Acting AG Blanche feels the need to make the claim that the SPLC case is not politically motivated, I remember the line attributed to President Ronald Reagan:

If you're explaining, you're losing.

Southern Poverty Law Center seeks disclosure of grand jury transcripts in criminal case

April 28, 2026 / CBS News

"These particularized irregularities suggest that the grand jury was not merely misled by the government's presentation of the law, but likely that it was actively weaponized to facilitate such charges," the SPLC said.

The group argued that comments made to the media by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel about the SPLC's work are "false and misleading," including statements Blanche made on Fox News that the SPLC had not shared information it learned from its paid informants with federal law enforcement ahead of the "Unite the Right" Rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.

But the organization said Blanche's statement is not true, as it had compiled information about the event and the potential for violence in a report that was sent to law enforcement agencies, including the FBI's office in Mobile, Alabama.

What law do they cite to support their position?

Do you think its unusual in criminal matters for experienced counsel to ask for disclosure of grand jury transcripts? You do know the rules governing that, right?

Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure Rule 6. The Grand Jury

6(e) Recording and Disclosing the Proceedings.

(3) Exceptions.

(E) The court may authorize disclosure—at a time, in a manner, and subject to any other conditions that it directs—of a grand-jury matter:

(ii) at the request of a defendant who shows that a ground may exist to dismiss the indictment because of a matter that occurred before the grand jury;

The difference between the SPLCC and the "vile" groups is that the SPLCC hass far more money and followers. The popularity of these groups on the right is best illustrated that they need the SPLC to fund them.

Can you imagine? A country where right wing hate groups are so insignificant and worthless that they need to be funded by the real hate group on the left

The essense of Leftism is hate and enemies. Cant be a Leftist without them, and if you dont have them, make some up.

Err on the matter of hate pot,kettle,non-white - you are full of it - it's not good for the soul. You should follow the good Jews not the bad ones.

'The Politically Motivated Indictment of Southern Poverty Law Center'

https://www.lawfaremedia.org/article/the-politically-motivated-indictment-of-southern-poverty-law-center

"The Justice Department alleges that the SPLC fraudulently misled donors by not disclosing that the organization used donor funds to pay informants within the KKK and neo-Nazi groups. The SPLC, however, had no legal duty to inform donors about these activities, which advanced the organization’s mission, any more than the SPLC needing donor approval to engage in any other initiative to advance its mission. Using informants was consistent with the SPLC’s historic work of disrupting and monitoring the KKK and neo-Nazi groups.

The indictment also alleges that the SPLC opened bank accounts under assumed business names without disclosing the SPLC’s connection. Yet the indictment fails to allege that the SPLC sought to influence bank decisions, an essential element of the bank fraud offense. The SPLC used assumed names to protect its informants, not to influence the banks."

Yes. It comes in the government's response to the request to unveil at least some grand jury testimony:

The secrecy of the grand jury is sacrosanct (and the motion) seeks to invade the province of the grand jury based on speculation and unsubstantiated allegations.

This is going to become quite the story. The SPLC is fighting back.

This coming Thursday, there is a court proceeding where the SPLC is asking for the transcript of the prosecution's arguments before the grand jury, as reports are the prosecution lied, not only about the case, but also about the law the SPLC supposedly violated. If the SPLC gets the transcript, and there are lies in it...case dropped and "somebody" is going to get disbarred.

As for deceiving donors, here are two historical examples:

1) Trump took donations for his supposed charity. He used some of the funds to commission a painting of...him. He was found guilty and he and his kids are banned for life from establishing a charity in NY.

2) During the 2016 Presidential campaign, Trump and Corey Lewandowski held a "fund raiser", ostensibly to be used for veterans. Instead, the funds were diverted into the Iowa primary campaign.

Yawn. Reports? Defense atty allegations LOL

Well, well, well, what a surprise. In an entirely predictable move the future disbarred acting AG backpedals like a pro.😂

'Todd Blanche caught significantly backpedaling in major case'

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/todd-blanche-caught-significantly-backpedaling-in-major-case-expert/

""When he unsealed the indictment and went in a press conference, he had claimed to reporters that the SPLC's informant program was manufacturing racism," Klasfeld explained.

However, Blanche and the Department of Justice have since been "forced to concede that wasn't true, that was a lie," Klasfeld said.

"What he's admitting is that when he claimed the SPLC wasn't sharing information with law enforcement, that wasn't true," Klasfeld explained. "They were, and we just learned very recently what some of that information sharing accomplished.""

Congressman Ted Lieu nails it, predicting that Blanch's career as an attorney will end once this administration is expelled.thumbsup

The walls are closing in alright, on Todd Blanche and the DOJ. Disbarment, and worse, is on the bingo cards of lots of DOJ prosecutors.

'The DOJ Is Breaking Its Own Rules to Litigate in the Media'

"The Justice Department is being criticized for violating its own policies by making "extrajudicial" disclosures that can taint the potential jury pool and impede a defendant's due process rights.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche defended the indictment against former FBI Director James Comey, saying it is part of a "body of evidence" collected over 11 months, but the indictment only references a single Instagram post.

The DOJ's actions, including making public statements about ongoing investigations and sharing evidence beyond the indictment, suggest that the department is prioritizing "political messaging" over justice."

NB The SPLC response to the govt's opposition to the release of grand jury transcripts is due by 12 MAY

The govt's opposition to the the release of SPLC grand jury transcripts does not contain the word "Blanche".

An "Imperial Wizard of the Klan" (paid ~$300,000 over 6 years, Another words the Marxist NGO was paying the KKK leader to further their propaganda.

From STATEMENT OF MAYA WILEY, PRESIDENT AND CEO

THE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE ON CIVIL AND HUMAN RIGHTS at the 20 MAY 2026 Hous hearing on SPLC

Over a dozen donors have said that SPLC spent their donations in ways they hoped it would. Former DOJ prosecutors and a whistleblower have flagged serious flaws in this indictment and the rush to get it. As in other politically motivated prosecutions, perhaps conviction is not its goal.

https://judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/republicans-judiciary.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/wiley-testimony_0.pdf

NB As far as donors who would support the prosecutors, so far the Feds haven't said they have any.

How to stop racism , stop inciting it, stop talking about it! SPLC tactic is the opposite for they wouldn’t survive as a activist organization without it.

The Marxist organization that use to be admired now pays the very hate groups they are against, KKK.

From Court ruling May 18:

2. Defendant’s pretrial motions shall be filed by May 26, 2026.

3. The Government’s response to any pretrial motions shall be filed by June 9,

2026.

GOP Jordan just mentioned that the SPLC's paid informants in violent extremist groups like the KKK may have overlapped with the FBI's 26 confidential sources on J6, exposing how the far left NGO's machine funds both sides to manufacture hate and chaos.

In the House hearings, Jordan ripped into the Biden era FBI,DOJ,SPLC alliance that trained together and shared intel while pumping donor and taxpayer cash into field sources who stir up chaotic violence and extremism for their twisted far left narratives,as the rep for the SPLC says their donors still want to continue funding it,claiming "its not unlawful".

This bombshell proves the SPLC wasn't fighting hate , they were bankrolling it in right wing circles while ignoring anarchist far left wing terrorists like Jane's Revenge firebombing churches, all to justify more govt crackdowns and control.

Jordan's push for SPLC documents shows the far left's dirty game of perpetuating hate groups and violence through paid provocateurs, directly tying their fraud scheme into the J6 entrapment operation.
