No I don’t think it’s a joke, I have personal friend who was subjected to ‘conversion therapy’ by his Christian church group, I’ve seen the life long damage it has done to him.

But I also see the obvious link between the rightwing obsession with other people’s sexuality and the repeated revelations of political and Christian rightwing leaders being gay, engaging in deviant sexual practices, wearing prosthetic breasts, wigs and make up, ‘swinging’ with the pool boy, exposing their genitalia and of course defending pedophiles while voting for a rapist.
