I, for one, dream of owning a Porsche 911. If only they weren't so expensive. The size has grown over the years so they are almost unrecognizable as the fun sports cars of yesteryear. Parking in narrow sois is not as easy. But a dream is a dream.

They opened a Porsche showroom in Pattaya on Sukhumvit, looked dead when i passed it the other day, 1 car only, big empty showroom

Perhaps they didn't understand while there is a huge market for electric shopping trolleys, there is also a huge market for performance ICE vehicles. They now face reality.

Nothing beats the sound, feeling and, yes, the smell of a high performance petrol vehicle.

I bought a new Taycan from the official channel here 5 years ago.

At the time it was the best EV in the world. The problem today is there are Chinese cars that are 80% as good at 15% of the price.

I would buy a 911 convertible here tomorrow if the price was anything other than ludicrous. All the extras they charge for are standard on a half million baht Chinese EV.

I once owned a 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera that was pearl white in color. I tried to commute to work with it but the clutch was so stiff that by the time I got to work in traffic, my leg was shaking and in pain. So I parked it in my garage until I came up with the idea of racing it at the local track with other amateurs. I had stainless steel headers installed and a tail. Unfortunately, the headers were so loud that I was pulled over several times by the police and given tickets. After sitting in the garage for two years without being driven I finally sold it. Now I wish I had it as prices have gone way up.
