Not every single airport in the world does it, but many do. I am not going to argue about it as I have used it myself in many countries. Many countries I have been to (Japan, Australia, China) I remember don't have it.

Here's Heathrow and Gatwick arrival. Both are in England, a Western country. Dubai definitely does, been through it many many times. If you don't want to believe it exists anywhere then that's up to you.

But I stated that because another posted quibbled how I knew that. I stated I see it with my own eyes on the planes, everywhere.

It's not even debatable. 50+ yo American are over 50% morbidly obese and UK is right behind. We could probably add Germany as well there.

Can you not read? Both UK airports I pictures are fast track immigration on arrival. Many other countries have the same as I said. Some countries don't.

The weight on foreigners is shocking. I'm even more shocked to see it on expats. It's all pub grub and beer for the men and breads and sweets for the farang fatty women - although never noticed many if any women in business coming to Asia

I'm not bitter. You've reached the end of your life, nothing better to spend hard cash on than a wide ride seat. You can take the priority lane I don't care... I get in even faster using the Thai lane.

Not allergic to Thai food.

I eat Thai food, both at home and in restaurants. What I stopped doing long ago is eating street food and food-court food.

Too much low-quality Thai food is served now compared to when I first travelled here. I am not on a tight budget either, so why bother with low-quality food full of sugar, flavour enhancers, and cheap ingredients?

Real Thai food still exists, but you often have to raise the budget a bit to find it.

As for the rest of your post, I do not really understand why you try to bait me with it. Or was it just a generalised response to the thread itself? Status shaming ?

At Manchaster airport anybody can pay for Fast Track/Priority arrival & departure... £5 for Security, £15 for Passport Control https://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/at-the-airport/security-fasttrack/

The airport includes the Security Fast Track as part of the ticket price for departures (You don't go through Passport Control when leaving the UK) but you need to pay for it yourself on arrival, I never bother & when I got here on this trip there were only 2 people going through & approx. 10 free eGates, it would have taken me longer to walk to the fast track lane but on a previous trip it has taken me 30 mins to get through, seeing as I have to wait for my suitcase anyway it's not to bad.

I used to fly long haul more or less every week (going or coming back from somewhere) so got used to Business Class & in retirement have adopted the same policy that we had at work, if the flight is >4 hours then I'm looking to travel business class.

I flew in to Manchester two weeks ago in business, and like you say the e-gates are so quick there is literally no point in looking for Fast Track. Likewise flying out I had Fast Track for security but there was no need - so many security lanes and no queues.

I hadn't flown in to Manchester for several years as I usually spend some time with family in London before getting the train up north, but this time I went in to and out of Manchester. I have to say Terminal 2 is really nice and efficient, I was impressed.
