no more fast track for business class

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Last night I arrived with TG business class, normally we sneak into the Thai lane to get to the priority (fast track) immigration, last night was barred from using it as 'it's only for special needs, not for business class' ?

Anybody encountered this, is it a permanent change ???

Someone sounds a bit salty that they can't afford to fly in the pointy end of the plane, so have to resort to calling them childish names in their fit of jealousy.

Of course it happens in Western countries. It is a pretty standard thing for business class and the airlines pay for the privilege.

Good. Just because you spend an extra bit of money on a seat doesn't mean you deserve any sort of priority queuing for immigration. I seriously doubt that would happen in any Western country why shoul

There was a thread a little while back, it looks like a permanent change ☹️

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Fast Track and Priority are different beasts.

Business Class would use Priority if permitted but at the moment it seems totally random with reports like yours mixed with others having no issue.

For info, departure fast track has now changed and is no longer accessed from the far end of the terminal but is now much more central, although with Thai I think they might have their own lanes anyway?

Last time 2 times (May & October 2025) I landed at BKK I couldn't find the Fast Track lane so was planning on cutting through the Thai Lane (Last time as I was getting to the normal immigration desk a family infront of me were being let through to the Priority lane so I flashed my business class ticket and was allowed to cut through with them).

Is this not allowed anymore then? - What about BOI/LTR/Elite visa holders are they still allowed through?

BOI etc still go through the Fast Track situated centrally between the two main immigration halls. Business Class should be allowed in the Thai/Priority lanes but that's what seems to be pretty random recently.

Thanks, I'll give it a go when I get back home on Wednesday :)

Good. Just because you spend an extra bit of money on a seat doesn't mean you deserve any sort of priority queuing for immigration. I seriously doubt that would happen in any Western country why should it happen in Thailand? The premise is absolutely preposterous. Thai immigration is in no way linked to any airline including Thai Air.

At least you buy a bigger seat. Most hippos would squeeze themselves in to economy making everyone around them suffer.

So you are suggesting that the member you answered is a 'hippo'. How do you know?

Only the passengers in the seats directly next to that hippo would suffer any uncomfortability.

Yeah, I came through earlier this week and couldn't find any business class priority lane at all - the one that used to be to the left of the main queue has gone. However there was some kind of construction by the looks of it so maybe they are redoing it?

I didn't bother asking as immigration was pretty empty so I just went through the normal one and it only took five minutes.

You still get priority on the way out though which does make me think they are reconfiguring it on incoming. And the best one to use on outgoing is the one on the far left by Thai airways business and first check in. It is big and empty and very quick. The smaller ones by the escalators can be busy and are a bit grubby.

No jealousy. Simply not worth it double especially the food and service these years. About all you do get is priority and now that's apparently gone for these special people 🙄

Didn't fly patrician class to US or domestic last April. Took the money and spent it on tickets to Europe 🤔 for June July.

Is this for people that think they are better than other people?!?

They covered up the words "AND PRIORITY" on those signs with a piece of white paper several months ago. Meanwhile, they have signs like the one below saying "PRIORITY", which actually direct you to Fast Track 🤷

He didn't deny it

All the 50+ men I see in business always carrying extra baggage

Is that men over the age of 50, or do you mean that you see more than 50 in Business Class?

And by 'carrying extra baggage' do you mean that they are all fat?

Added an extra question

Exit: The TG area lanes were undergoing renovation work last month, so I was diverted to the central Fast track exit section.

Entry: Use the Thai Passport lane which is combined with the Priority lane if you have a Business or First class boarding pass. The sign has very small print that says for business class. If in doubt show the BP to the line worker and ask where the business class or first class lane is.

Passed through Seattle a while back. Spent the night and continued on the next day. Buss class was a separate que from ECO class.

No, it is for people who think it's worth paying extra for a comfortable, stress free journey, where you can sleep in a flat bed and arrive feeling pleasant.

Some people don't think it's worth it, some people do. Up to them, everyone can chose how they want to spend their own money. But for most people once you've done it long haul once there's no going back.

Why do people get so snarky about it?

I don't understand what you say about the Airlines paying, for WHAT privilege. Surely you mean that the Passenger pays for it, and the Airline takes the money out of the fare they have paid.

Yes, thank you for the pedantry.

Simple jelousy.

I was in Eva Air business class on my last trip to the UK.

A single seat by itself in its own space, two metre flat bed, great food, great sleep for six hours of the journey.

I flew economy class on the same journey once as that is all that was available, squashed, lot of people shouting across to each other, the steward had to shout at some of the passengers as they stood up while on final approach, I said I will never do that again.

My wife and I regularly fly business class when we feel the extra cost is worth it. I am well over 50, but not fat. Generally I haven’t found the same experiences as you have with the size of 50+ business passengers.

Same. He's making it up. Surprised he didn't also say they were ugly and smelled of poo.

I had the misfortune of flying domestic in us on four legs. Nearly every person in patrician class was obese.

Why is this even debated? Half the US and almost the same are medically morbidly obese.

When you get to Thailand you drink lots of beer and consume all sorts of high calorie pub grub. Lol.

Ive seen it with my eyes for decades

It's what I've seen on the planes inbound. It's what I see on the BTS. It's what I see in the pubs on Sukhumvit. It's what I recall even 25 years ago in Pattaya. Surely, geriatric Chaing Mai chok a block. Went to SSA meetup... half were obese. Statistics pretty spot on I'd say as general observation.

Again, no idea why the pushback. No one eats Thai food here. No one 50+ exercises in the parks.

You have some signage? No Asian immigration or US immigration I've ever seen.

Of course not
