Coffee Machine.

Featured Replies

I recently came across what appears to be a very versatile coffee machine offering a wide range of coffee-making options and features.

Does anyone here have firsthand experience with this machine? I’d be particularly interested in comments on reliability, ease of use, maintenance, and overall coffee quality.

Observation: This machine is barely 10 inches tall and the cup area just over 3 inches tall ?

thats a really small coffee cup.

If it works for you, great, but I thought I'd point that out as it certainly wouldn't work for me being so small.

I have a Krups “bean to cup” I have had for 14 years.

Every 2 or 3 years it breaks and I send it away to be repaired, costing between three thousand baht and eight thousand baht.

High pressure means (yours is 19 bar) WILL blow their seals, it’s just a matter of time. Coffee beans are oily and in pressure extraction there will be oils deposited inside the machine.

I religiously clean mine with detergent tablets and descale it occasionally.

The 2 issues I think you need to consider are, firstly, is there a cleaning procedure? And secondly, availability of spare parts and service locations.

I recently recommended a WorldTech machine about ฿9000 to someone because they do have service centers here in Thailand.

Unfortunately, I don't have the info on that machine, but I bought an Oggi on Lazarda 2 years ago and use it daily, it's not missed a beat...........

It comes with slip in/out cartridges (choose your options and 2 or 3 cartridges included, I think it was?) for almost every different type of pod and ground coffee. Extra cartridges @ extra 260b each approx. Works a treat, was under 3000b. takes up to 9cm height cups/11cm with drip tray removed. Mine came in red, still available I believe....

Simple functions, very little to malfucntion compared to sophisticated models, very easy clean, decent pressure and crema/coffee dependent and always very hot.....................Very happy with it..............

Getting a coffee machine is step 1, definitely doesn't guarantee a good coffee, lot's of trial and error required. I wouldn't bother, just get a Moka pot, venus design on Lazada and Shopee, 4 cup size if just for one

Well, much to my wife’s delight, the coffee machine (Cafelffe 6-in-1, Model ST-542S) has finally arrived. To our surprise, the learning curve has been remarkably smooth. We started with the ground coffee (powder) option and, after only a couple of attempts, managed to produce an excellent cup of coffee.

Initially, I had every intention of sticking with my old and trusted “cowboy-style” coffee-making method. Still, after enjoying a few cups from the machine, I’m now seriously considering retiring that approach altogether in favour of the Cafelffe.

We still need to experiment with the various capsule options and compatible brands, but thus far, the ground coffee setting has consistently produced very good results. I also sourced a suitable cup size to fit neatly between the drip tray and the coffee spout. With the machine set to level 7 (maximum volume), it produces approximately 210 ml of coffee - more than sufficient for our morning caffeine fix.

At present, I’m using Mivana 100% Arabica coffee beans. The accompanying manual of Cafelffe includes cleaning and descaling instructions, along with the proprietary cleaning accessories supplied with the unit.

So far, from our perspective, the machine has been an excellent purchase and a clear winner.
