Endoscopy

I saw this email and thought of you ha ha.

Looks like you've already had the endoscopy.

Anyway maybe I'll help others here looking to have one done in Pattaya and surrounding areas.

Surely it's from kissing arse at your workplace, so should be covered by compo. That's one less stress for you to bear George. If not next Pattaya trip get a young lady to give your throat a rinse!! 👍

About two years ago, I experienced stomach problems and visited Samitivej Hospital in Chonburi City. Following a gastroscopy performed under general anesthesia, I was diagnosed with a Gastritis and GE

My first gastroscopy was in the UK (Essex or Herts NHS). South Asian NHS doctor who tried to do it without sedation. I was gagging and choking of course. So - with an angry look and voice - he said alright we can sedate you. Mild hiatus hernia.

I've had a few since then here in Bangkok (both the upper and lower scopes) and they've always included general anaesthesia and if they find polyps, they snip them and send them to a lab. First two were done at Bumrungrad and two others at Vichaiyut Hospital. The former hospital lets you void yourself in a private room with lazyboy style chair, TV and of course bathroom (toilet) the morning of the procedure, then scopes you and send you to a recovery room. The latter gives you the meds to take home and do the same the night before the scope which is done in the morning. The upper scope goes as far down to the beginning of the small intestine. The lower scope goes all the way up to where the large intestine meets the small intestine.

Well I had my procedure done here in Australia $250 health insurance excess

I could of got it free if I used the public hospital system but I would of been on a waiting list maybe for 12 months waiting and probably could of died so I went private clinic using my health insurance and was on there in days

Anyway they took me to a surgery room

, I started to cry as they told me to lay on the table on my left side and I got scared maybe I won't wake up

I felt scared , the nurse called the doctor who was going to do it , he was a young looking man and he told me not to be concerned and was very calm he looked very fit

Then they put some mouth thing in my mouth like a mouthpiece you see on those porn movies for oral sex

and painfully put a needle in my hand to sedate me

The doctor said to me to count to 10

I then woke up later in recovery next to others they gave me banana cake

The doctor later came and said he couldn't find anything wrong with me

He said he had taken a biopsy of my stomach for pylori testing and will get back to me

Is this cancer ? I asked several times

He looked annoyed and become rude

" No should it be ? He replied sternly

I immediately called him a liar and told him about the Pattaya

youTuber a few years ago called Kev in Thailand who had eosphagul cancer

The doctor said keep taking Nexium for reflux and walked off rudely

I told him I'm getting a second opinion but he kept walking

I won't let these people lie to me or push me around,

I will go to Pattaya in August and see the farang doctor there who is much much better

Did you notice a condom hanging out of your anus?🙃

BTW - don't get stuck on Nexium for years. I have - not good. Lots of research in last several years found that long term use can inhibit your stomach's ability to absorb vital vitamins (like B12) and minerals (even upset iron production leading to anemia).

He has been with their International Dept for 20 years. As above he is a very good liaison for expats who require hospital info in English (although Scottish in his case).

His Whatsapp is on the email quoted above and he responds quickly. He sometimes gives talks to one of the local Pattaya the Expat Clubs.
