Looking for some advice, I'm currently in the UK.

I've tried to open an account with Wise obviously but I can't get past the photo verification stage at all. First I used my Driving Licence as the Document.

I then changed the document to my passport and attempted to take the photo. Yet it never registered after 30 minutes of trying 😂

There's no email address / support, any ideas anyone ?

Has anyone else experienced the same whilst opening an account.

The photo stage especially the selfie part,is fraught with problems using most cameras on phones.The only people I know who've has first time success,are those who use iphone cameras.Its a shame they make it so difficult,as its a worthwhile account to open.

Regarding the new arrangements Wise has officiated with the Thai banking sector and quite publicized via Facebook, I tried to update my 5 years old account to the Thai version which will allow users to not only receive monies to one's Thai bank account but also send THB out of Thailand. Great enhancement. Along my quest to do the update, it was revealed that one must have a Thailand residence and so the user address needs to be changed accordingly. Upon uploading a scan of my Thai driver license, I was expecting a confirmation email within 2-3 days. Nothing came so I contacted support and was told that my data was received but Wise would contact me sometime in August to finalize the operation. It seems that Wise is either not well prepared for the change or they are facing endless difficulties with the Thai banking sector, which would not surprise me. Anybody else tried to convert a foreign Wise account into a Thai Wise account ?

For some reason, people keep or buy phones that are total garbage and then complain they don’t work.

These days, buying a ฿30,000+ phone every three or four years is just a life tax. It’s not optional.
