The police didn't arrest and handcuff the victim or deny the victim medical treatment. They have also not accused the victim of making racist remarks therefor justifying the vicious assault. It is mentioned that the victim has significant damage to his eyes. Just another peace loving migrant with a knife.

I assume the law only turned up to arrest the victim. When they couldn't find evidence of the victim racially abusing the attacker did the police decide to arrest the attacker.

The prosecution present the evidence, the defense challenges the evidence, the Jury determines guilt.

It’s much preferable than trial by internet.
