or maybe farang price

How about all Thais expect a discount so back to MRSP

Or most Thai opt for finance so the difference doesn't really matter to them.

Question: Has the OP walked into Honda with 102,000 in cash and said "I'll take the red one"; would they refuse?

Yes, normal. Dealers charge more than manufacturers price .

^ Fair enough but my point was sitting at home and sending messages to dealers who don't know your real intentions is not the same as fessing up to actually buy one.

Wasn't there a dealer in somewhere like Bo Win who reputably would undersell Mityon.

Buy a less popular model, they sell those for MSRP.

Have a look at the Honda Lead 125. I’ve had one for 3 years now. Paid 63 400 for it. The 125 cc engine is amazingly strong. The room under the seat is the largest I’ve seen, which is the reason I chose it.

Anybody here book their new bike at the Bangkok Auto Show? I hear this is how you get the best price.

The last time I went there a new model had just been released with an advertized price of 99,999 Baht. All the shops wanted 115,000 Baht minimum. The show people were showing off the promo material and price to which I agreed and said I'll buy one right now, showed them my bank balance on my phone and told them to contact a dealer and I'll transfer 99,999 right now. There was some smiling and shuffling away until I was left standing there all alone.

Yeah I can understand that with a new model release but once it's been out over a year you might have a good shot at getting it at the advertised price.

One guy told me he went to the BKK Auto Show and just put down a small deposit, something like 2,500 baht, for a ADV 350 and they took all his info and asked which Honda dealer did he want it delivered to. I remember he got it for a very good price, something like 188,000 baht.

I said it on another thread but I'll mention it here too..the newer 2026 ADV 160 is way better than my 2023 ADV 160. I rented a new one in Koh Phangan last month and I was shocked on how much better bike it is!

What exactly was better about the new ADV ?

I seem to remember some complaining about engine shudder ?

The new ADV had a much softer ride, I don't know what they did but it's a good 30%-50% better suspension than my 2024 ADV.

The other two things that I noticed were the buttons were better quality, more solid feel and the engine was better tuned and I didn't experience any shudder.

Plus, it now has Honda's RoadSync to enable connection with smartphone. If the new ADV 160 is near the price I paid it's an absolute bargain.
