Trump 'Ready to Fire' Pete Hegseth and Top Pentagon Officials Who Stood Against Historic Iran Deal

Internal Conflict Erupts as Trump Prioritises Iran Ceasefire Agreement

Donald Trump is preparing to remove some of his most senior national security officials over internal dissent on what is shaping up to be the defining foreign policy gamble of his second term: a ceasefire deal with Iran that has split his cabinet and unsettled key allies.

Senior US sources told Israel Hayom that Trump is weighing the dismissal of Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, two of the most powerful figures in his national security apparatus, after both men openly opposed his ceasefire agreement with Iran.

I'm wondering why it took the fool this long. He usually changes his administration as often as people change their underwear.

I can see it now.

Hegseth making his way towards the exit door and turning to ask Trump:

‘I’ll still get my pocket pardon won’t I?’.

Don't you just love these guys !!

Comedy gold.

Make a movie/series about this and people will dismiss it as being unrealistic ……

Who? The fake news media that just make up silly nonsense about Trump all day long? Or the irrational haters that gobbled up every BS story and looked like totsl clowns when their narratives were proven BS, then run away to the next fake news item?

good un

that's some clever commentary right there.

bravo

Hegseth is a cabinet member, and can vote to save his job. 11 votes plus the Vice President are needed.

If Hegseth thinks he is about to be sacked, and thinks the decision is irrational, timing is critical. One wonders if these leaks, suggestions, are all about the said target trying to secure an alternative position that pays well (secures their silence), rather than the risk of a former Fox pundit returning to the airwaves.Anthony Scaramucci and Sean Spicer come to mind.

The so-called MAGA movement has clear splits; there are the loyalists, who believe in everything the President does, there are the apolitical opportunists, like Lindsey Graham, who look for personal political gain, there are the self-preservationists; conventional Republicans with an eye on the polls, who went along because of a sense of self-preservation (of their seats), and then the Ultras, who were former acolytes, or rather, there was a time when their beliefs crossed sufficiently with Trumps, that they decided they could lend him their support. The latter are most ideological, not driven by looking at the polls. Hegseth likely belongs in that area; any man who, in middle age, decides to get contentious tattoos for the first time is a bit suspect. MTG as well, and their believes are vocalised by Tucker Carlson, who superficially sounds very reasonable, but when you dig deeper, there is something very dark.

Ask Hegseth about the school.

IBtimes is right-wing publication

Has any mainstream media made the same claims about Hegseth and CIA director?
