well all those that continue to insist on links always - if one is actually interest in what is happening around the world, one follows news at least daily and would already be well aware of the few facts being quoted. I could add many other stories from various news sources around the world but am bored with the comments of the supposedly educated that have failed to follow any news stories. When Ratcliffe took up his position as DNI, he called in many senior SIS agency officers and asked them:

-For whom did you vote in 2020 and 2024?

-Who won the 2020 election?

Many who would not answer or did not answer "correctly" were fired, no matter their level, no matter their area of expertise, no matter their PAR (Performance evaluation). Their oath to the US Constitution was meaningless; their fealty to Trump was what mattered.

I know this to be fact from agency friends, but it also appears in Tim Weiner's book "The Mission".

Incidentally, back in Trump 1.0, Trump was angered toward the end of his term by then-DNI Gina Haspel, because she would not turn over the identities of clandestine assets and SIGINT intercept programs associated with Putin and Russia. (He had already taken some HCS documents to his private residence in the WH and refused to return them, so Haspel was suspicious of his intentions.) No President has any need to know the true identities of such sensitive penetrations of a foreign power. Trump was going to fire her and replace her with Kash Patel as DNI. Haspel rallied the employees of the agency, who together threatened to walk out if Trump put the clown Patel there. Trump taco'd, on advice from his remaining rational and patriotic senior advisers. He still stole what he'd already collected.

One more thing: as part of the damage control related to Trump's theft of classified documents, which included HCS (human clandestine sources), the agency had to ex-fil penetrations of Russia, including a very senior member of Putin's government. He, and perhaps his family, would have been killed. The US lost that valuable asset (many several), but at least he and his family's lives were saved. (This was classified, but I recently read it in Weiner's book, so it's okay to note it now, as his is open source material.) The agency concluded the only reason Trump stole and retained those documents was in order to try to monetize them. Putin would have paid handsomely for what Trump stole.

All government employees take an oath to the US Constitution. They need not be "loyal" to any Administration, but only to the Constitution.

Trump and MAGAs like to call "Deep State" the people who follow and abide by their oath. They expect fealty, not patriotism.

This is the same as the Senators and Reps who reminded folks in the military that they follow ONLY legal orders, as per the manuals provided to them during training. Trump tried to call that "treason", as he thinks he is a dictator or king.
